Job Title: Engineering Storekeeper

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • Responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing mechanical, electrical, and other replacement spare parts or components for the equipment in the mill, compiling records of received and dispatched materials, and verifying that supplies received are listed on requisition forms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up an efficient system for storekeeping of mechanical, electrical replacement parts, materials, and tools.
  • Receive the materials supplied by the vendor on the purchase order placed by the purchase department.
  • Stock the materials received from vendors properly to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling, maintenance etc.
  • Match goods received with delivery notes from suppliers.
  • Ensure that all goods are immediately dispatched to store for which they are intended and that no goods are left unsecured or unsupervised on the loading bay.
  • Ensures the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors.
  • Unload and receive goods from suppliers.
  • Record accurately deliveries and departmental parts in the stock ledgers and balance daily to the standard required.
  • Issuing spare part to maintenance department in line with requisition order.
  • Manage weekly requisition of materials required to maintain stock level.
  • Enter all materials in and out of stores are recorded on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure proper security is always adhered to.
  • Ensure stores are always kept clean, neat, and tidy.
  • Carry out periodical physical verification and asses the stock position.

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 - 5 years experience of Engineering Storekeeping experience.
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
  • Preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing or rice processing plant.

 

 

Job Title: Paddy Inventory Supervisor

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Responsible for grading, inspecting, and analyzing incoming paddy and milled rice shipments for quality standards. Manage inventory in tanks by recording inventory information,maintaining paddy tanks, drags, elevators, and areas around pits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain probe sample from each delivery truck and check for various product quality characteristics including insects.
  • Take inventory of paddy tanks and report whether the tank is empty or full.
  • Manage inventory in tanks by providing inventory information to millers; label tanks daily with product variety; write tank information on board in the mill.
  • Write reports on samples collected and document accordingly.
  • Direct trucks to the appropriate mill for unloading.
  • Obtain load white tag and verify variety, warehouse, and tank number.
  • Act as weigh master when necessary.
  • Distinguish paddy rice classes; identify quality standards such as damage, stained, etc.
  • Oversee the cleaning of paddy tanks, drags, elevators and cement area around pit.
  • Regularly check gates at top of tanks to ensure opening/closing mechanisms are operating correctly.
  • Ensure that the equipments and work area are always clean and tidy.
  • Operate paddy sample dryer to obtain paddy moisture content regularly.
  • Communicate with miller to determine tank in use.
  • Use vacuum probe for the sampling of silos, warehouse and outside storage areas as needed.
  • Perform rough rice appraisals and document accordingly.

Qualification and Experiences

  • Minimum of 4 - 5 years’ relevant experience of rice paddy inventory.
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
  • Preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing or rice processing plant.
  • Ability to speak the Hausa Language is an added advantage.

 

 



Job Title: Security Manager

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • Responsible for overseeing the security and safety functions of the Rice Milling Plant. Identify organizational protection goals and objectives, ensure they are consistent with their organizations' strategic plans.
  • Collaboratewith other executives to decide on the priority of security needs and then spend according to the organization's financial constraints and directives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security initiatives, standards, policies, procedures for the plant.
  • Develop security Standard Operating Policies and procedures for the factory and residences.
  • Develop network access and monitoring policies, risk management assessments, emergency procedures and incident responses.
  • Drive compliance of security policies, procedures and best practices and ensure strict adherence across the organization.
  • Co-ordinate, plan and supervise implementation of site security audits and assessment.
  • Establish and maintain an effective intelligence and security reporting system.
  • Oversee security operatives within the plant and its environment.
  • Support in the recruitment and training of security personnel ensuring proper understanding of security and safety processes for accurately responding to emergencies.
  • Periodically recommend training and coordinate onsite training sessions and security awareness for employees/contractors.
  • Set up process to carry out video surveillance, investigate security breaches and implement disciplinary procedures.
  • Implement journey management measures including escorts rules, procedures and movement for expatriates and staff.
  • Collaborate with the weighbridge team on truck movements within and outside the factory, assigning security team to search trucks for objects that add to truck tonnage and mass.
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and community security team & agents.
  • Establish and maintain cordial relationship and leverage on security networks for obtaining timely information and due diligence as well as developing pro-active security solutions to prevent the company from deliberate and/avoidable security mishaps.
  • Monitor and review security and compliance gaps at the operational area/site and develop strategies to address these gaps.
  • Perform routine review of all routes to and from the operational area including hotel accommodation and or airport to identify safe routes and chokepoints and devise options for rerouting in peak traffic or vulnerable states.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for events in the operational area ensuring the safety of all stakeholders.
  • Set up an immediate response procedure to promptly address emergency security and safety situations.
  • Investigate suspected and actual security breaches and recommend corrective actions including liaising with Police authorities.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management and all stakeholders on security status and provide real time information for timely and accurate threat assessments.
  • Work closely with corporate executives, business managers, audit, and legal counsel to understand corporate requirements related to security and regulatory compliance, and to map those requirements to current security projects.
  • Provide weekly security reports/briefing to the CEO and Group Chief Operating Officer.
  • Perform other functions as required.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree / HND in Business-related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years similar experience in a Manufacturing or Farming industry.
  • A professional security certificate is an added advantage.
  • Candidate being an ex- military from the rank of an Army Captain or its equivalent for other military arm or ASP for Nigeria Police is compulsory.
  • Ability to speak the Hausa Language is required.
