Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description
- You will work on-site to manage the cost of projects by ensuring that costs are kept within the budget, by using cost-effective methods while still meeting all quality and safety requirements.
- You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing cost estimates, and planning and reviewing cost reports throughout the project cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving measures.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and provide strategies for risk mitigation.Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Cost Monitoring: Monitor project costs against budget, identifying and addressing any deviations.Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate costs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, tracking costs and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.Provide regular financial reports to project stakeholders.
- Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, ensuring that both parties adhere to contractual obligations.Handle variations and claims, resolving disputes in a fair and timely manner.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for value engineering, proposing cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3 - 5 years experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or related field is a plus
- Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Management skills.
- Experience in creating Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
- Cost Reporting skills
- Knowledge of construction regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
