Sonia Foods Industries Limited, with headquarters in Ibafo is one of Nigeria's leading tomato paste manufacturers. The company is a recognized market leader in tomato paste production and other range of products namely; Sonia Seasoning Cube, baking powder, Sonia Magarine, Sonia Yeast, Sonia Dough Improver, Sonia Preservative, Vitasoy Milk Drink, Vitamax Cereal Drink. Sonia Foods Industries Limited, a wholly owned Nigerian company and manufacturer of Sonia Tomato Paste is making major improvements to its Shagamu, Ogun State factory plant as part of an ongoing plan to meet growing demand for its products and maximize efficiency.

The capital improvement project, valued at more than $8 million, will create more jobs likewise enhance the product quality of its flagship product, Sonia Tomato Paste and its entire product chain, comprising of Sonia seasoning cube and Sonia baking powder. The company has increased its production capacity by installation of additional machinery for production of tomato paste in tins of various sizes (400g, 210g, and 70g). The production capacity of this additional machine would now be 7MT/HR for each size.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Description

  • Preparing Quality reports, including analytical reports (for raw materials and finished products), Certificates of Analysis (CoA) (for finished products) and stability reports.
  • Creating and executing method development and method validation test protocols for finished products and generating the appropriate analytical methods.
  • Stability testing of products for new formulations and ongoing stability trials, using physical (pH, viscosity) and instrumental (HPLC, UV) techniques, as appropriate.
  • Writing analytical specifications using current pharmacopoeias and reviewing existing analytical specifications in line with international best practices.
  • Liaising with relevant government regulatory Agencies.
  • Be responsible for reporting periodically on the system to Management

  • Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within The Specials Laboratory.
  • Writing/reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Calibrating analytical equipment, as and when required.
  • Ensuring that procedures are carried out carefully and accurately to eliminate errors.
  • Ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers
  • Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within The Specials Laboratory.
  • Observing and complying with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
  • Observing and complying with company Health and Safety Policies.

Job Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience: 7 - 10 years
  • Candidates must have relevant experience in regulatories affair such as SON,NAFDAC etc
  • Candidates must have recent experience in food processing company such as Tomato industry, Yoghurt, Seasoning powder, etc before been considered for interview.
