Job Title: Public Health Intern (Environmental Health)

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Internship
Duration: [6 months]

Job Description

  • The Public Health Intern will support our efforts in enhancing health outcomes related to environmental factors and biochemical processes.
  • The intern will gain hands-on experience in public health research, and environmental health

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of public health programs and interventions focused on environmental health and biochemistry.
  • Assist in the development of educational materials and resources for environmental health.
  • Participate in data collection, monitoring, and evaluation of public health programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the success of environmental health interventions.
  • Conduct fieldwork and/or monitor laboratory analysis as required for environmental health projects and/or public health related programs.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and workshops.
  • Conduct literature reviews, data analysis and develop research articles to inform program development.
  • Support community outreach and engagement activities related to environmental health issues and/or public health related programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Recently graduated from an M.Sc program in Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in environmental health, and public health.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and research methods.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
