Job Title: Presales Engineer Job Code: NG / PSE002 Location: Lagos
Job Description
  • Collaborate with the sales support or account team by acting as technical experts in customer presentations
  • Complete and design solution documents, including process flows
  • Coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
  • Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
  • Maintains deal by putting in early deal sales process steps
  • Achieves product growth targets for the assigned geography, channel, sales team, or account base.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Completes required Training and Development objective within the assigned time frame.
  • Reports to the Director of Sales Engineering.
  • Secures information from customer's technical staff commitment needed to ensure a deal's technical close.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Opportunistically pursues additional Business Development opportunities within customer firms.
  • Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities a re-effectively covered.
  • Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
  • Serve as a pre-sales resource by supporting the primary sales representative in the discovery process, evaluating business needs to identify the appropriate value position to win the opportunity
  • Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements for the development of designs and solutions
  • Act as an engineering resource by providing product education, technical assistance, and after sales support
  • Keep current on industry trends and the competitive landscape
  • Achieve assigned productivity and profitability quotas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
  • 3 years of industry experience, including two years in Sales Engineering or consulting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Positive, service-oriented personality
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Other Microsoft Office Suite Skills is required.
  • AutoCad skills
  • Proven Sales Engineering skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities
Remuneration
  • N70,000 - N80,000 monthly.
