Job Description
- Collaborate with the sales support or account team by acting as technical experts in customer presentations
- Complete and design solution documents, including process flows
- Coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.
- Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
- Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
- Maintains deal by putting in early deal sales process steps
- Achieves product growth targets for the assigned geography, channel, sales team, or account base.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Completes required Training and Development objective within the assigned time frame.
- Reports to the Director of Sales Engineering.
- Secures information from customer's technical staff commitment needed to ensure a deal's technical close.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
- Opportunistically pursues additional Business Development opportunities within customer firms.
- Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities a re-effectively covered.
- Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
- Serve as a pre-sales resource by supporting the primary sales representative in the discovery process, evaluating business needs to identify the appropriate value position to win the opportunity
- Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements for the development of designs and solutions
- Act as an engineering resource by providing product education, technical assistance, and after sales support
- Keep current on industry trends and the competitive landscape
- Achieve assigned productivity and profitability quotas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
- 3 years of industry experience, including two years in Sales Engineering or consulting
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Positive, service-oriented personality
- Willingness to travel.
- Other Microsoft Office Suite Skills is required.
- AutoCad skills
- Proven Sales Engineering skills
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities
Remuneration
- N70,000 - N80,000 monthly.
