Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Education as a Vaccine
Education as a Vaccine (EVA) is a youth-led, youth-focused non-profit organization created to work in partnership with children, adolescents and young people in particular adolescent girls and young women to advance their rights to health and freedom from all forms of violence by strengthening their capacities, providing direct services and influencing policies for improved quality of life.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Abuja

Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development of tools, collection, and analysis of data as well as documentation and sharing of the organization’s results and impact for learning and improvements.
- The unit leads the establishment, generation, and use of strategic information to support evidence-informed program implementation, appraisal, and decision making
- Develop and manage the organizational management information system to help document and capture organizational achievements
- Facilitate the development of monitoring and evaluation framework for projects including tools
- Support the implementation of evaluation studies for assessing organizational progress and achievement
- Coordinates monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual data capture, analysis, and reporting for all the program indicators to donors, and relevant stakeholders
- Lead the review and improvement of the M&E systems and strategy in close collaboration with the program team based on lessons learned
- Assist in the development of digital applications, dashboards, and other informatics for systematic use by the organization
- Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of baseline M&E data and ongoing M&E data collection, analysis, and reporting according to project M&E plan.
- Track project inputs, outputs, and outcomes using organizational monitoring and evaluation tools. Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required technical reporting and deliverables for the information management component of the program.
- Strengthen capacity and provide technical support to the project staff for adequate monitoring and evaluation of project activities
- Assist in revising the data reporting template in line with EVA’s M&E plan
- Participate in the development of the annual report
- Support the organization in the planning and execution of strategic planning, annual work plan, and budgeting processes
- Participate in all research activities conducted by the organization
- Assist in coordinating the development of the M&E system in collaboration with the M&E Coordinator and Team leader, Strategy, development, and learning
- Develop organizational annual M&E report that tracks progress in achieving EVA strategic targets
- Analyzing data, preparing M&E reports on a quarterly basis, and reviewing with project Officers to provide feedback on progress and gaps
- Assist with other organizational activities as may be required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Communication, Social Sciences, or Management
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals’
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrates good knowledge of procurement processes
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritize work, handle pressure, and take day-to-day decisions on the running of the organization;
Working Relationships:
- The MEO will report directly to the Head of the Programme.
- S/He will work and support all teams within the organization to deliver on their mandates.
Skills:
- Strong planning, coordination, and logistics skills related to the implementation of project activities;
- Good communication skills;
- High level of computer literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ability to independently carry out tasks;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize required;
- Good representational skills.
