We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Materials / Warehouse Officer (Incharge - Utilities and Offsites)
Location: Akwa Ibom

Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, Store, Package and ship products from Warehouses by initiating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Reporting to Project Manager
- Visit customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving.
- Align physical counting methods and data storage systems to keep track of Warehouse inventory.
- Develop and implement new design layouts and systems to optimise usage and maintenance of Warehouse space; inspect Warehouse equipment to plan repairs and replacement needed.
- Track expenses, analyse variances, correct wasteful expenditure, and put together the annual budget to achieve financial goals.

- Brief team leaders and report to management regularly; advise management on requisite actions related to the Warehouse.
- Recruit and train new employees; delegate work and follow up on results.
- Organise and encourage team work to maximise productivity; ensure high levels of job efficiency by coaching, counselling, and disciplining workers after performance appraisal.
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and transport companies to coordinate the safe assembly and delivery of good; respond to customers via email or telephone; visit customers to ensure their satisfaction.
- Constant tracking of good through multiple delivery channels.
- Ensuring Warehouse activities are done within significant budget constraints.
- Responsible for a vital part of supply chain process, manage people, processes, and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
- Responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock. Specialist Warehouses may store temperature-controlled products.
- Coordinating with project team and contractors during, EPC construction, & commissioning to Operation phase.
- Manage direct reports including managing work allocation, training, mentoring, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
- Identify resource needs and deploy (internal & external) to ensure appropriate support.
- Maintain an overview over the entire technical delivery ensuring that all scope is appropriately covered and that all parties clearly understand their requirements and their interfaces with others.
- Ensure a formal and disciplined technical communication protocols by establishing and maintaining an RFI, Technical Concession and Change process with a live tracking register.
- Ensure the safety responsibilities for this position are carried out.
- Advise the immediate supervisor ahead of issues becoming critical and provide recommendations to improve these issues.
- Provide appropriate guidance as necessary with regard to local legislation, codes, and standard and technical requirements.
- Coo ordinate and actively involve to the site team during construction phase and commissioning phase also.
- Study and implement national and state legislation related to Warehousing activities, handling of the materials, and shipping products.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order,assembly and dispatch of goods.
- Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environment objectives are met.
- Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the Warehouse contributes of these.
- Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
- Plan for future capacity requirements.
- Respond to and deal with customer communication by email or telephone.
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure Warehouse operation follow security procedures and protocols to safeguard the contents; make sure Warehouse activities are in line with environment policies.
Qualifications
- Engineering graduate in Mechanical or Materials Management or Equivalent
- 10-15 Years related experience in Materials/Warehouse as in charge.
- Experience in large scale green field in petrochemical & Refinery plants.
- 10+ Years related experience in Petrochemical plant work in Warehouses, offices, and shop floors, depending on the size of the operation.

- Through with design codes and standards
- Organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of Warehouse goods.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Confidence to deal with individuals at all levels in the organization.
- Proven conflict resolution skills.
