Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities
Management Accounting:

  • Ensure the maintenance of the full cost attribution drivers for internal charging allocations so that core services receive an appropriate administration overhead.
  • Load project account and operating budget accounts data into the relevant ledger to enable the posting of actual results and extraction of management report information.

Budget and Planning:

  • Review company’s overhead allocation and costing processes.
  • Ensure accurate entry of transactions to accounting system
  • Oversee the corporate invoicing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations governing payment to vendors
  • Provide support and advice to spa operations relating to budget, forecast and general account issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily banking and monthly reconciliation of customer payment across all spa locations is completed.
  • Monitor and report on deviations from customer credit standards.
  • Undertake specialist project as required
  • Assist the Head of Finance in providing support and advice to the organization in preparing forecasts and budgets within the prescribed timelines
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Tax Laws, attend tax reconciliation meetings and interface with both Federal and State tax authorities.
  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  • Participation in company’s end of year process and production of the Annual Financial Statements (e.g., control of end of year cut-offs, ledger balancing, account analysis summaries, asset reporting, budget variance reporting and editing)
  • Undertake business case analysis in support of major projects across the organization as required
  • Resolves billing/payment discrep and work with appropriate parties to ensure timely posting of necessary transaction

Reporting:

  • Liaise with Cost Accountant on their performance against budget and provide specialist financial management advice on budget control and forecast outcomes.
  • Participate in the capital planning process including the development of the annual capital works program and undertake monitoring and forecasting during the year.
  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance and enhancement of company’s long-term financial plan
  • Responsible for the spa locations quarterly and monthly financial performance reports including detailed exception analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of the monthly reporting regime, quarterly performance reports, and the Annual Report.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with relevant work experience.
