Job Title: Finance Officer
Locations: Lagos and Ogun

Reports To: Accounts Manager

Job Summary

  • The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • This role involves budgeting, financial reporting, and supporting the finance team in overall financial operations to ensure the company’s financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and process financial documents, including invoices, expense reports, and payment vouchers.
  • Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely payment of taxes and statutory deductions (e.g., VAT, PAYE, pension contributions).
  • Liaise with auditors and assist in audit preparation.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements and ensure timely bank deposits.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Salary
N150,000 per month.
