Job Title: Cathodic Protection Technologist

Responsibilities/Summary of Functions
- Plan and manage all aspects of Cathodic Protection projects
- Oversee CP project to successful completion within budget, including final reports
- Supervise engineers and technicians assigned to the projects
- Act as direct interface with customer on assigned projects or customer accounts
- Assist in cost estimation, proposal development and collection of overdue accounts on assigned projects
- Schedule and coordinate multiple engineering projects to successful completion
- Analyze material and structure layout to conceive most appropriate design
- Prepare specifications for material and execution
- Estimate cost to furnish and install materials
- Reduce raw field data to tables and/or charts
- Create customer survey reports and analyze field data
- Make modifications to design as needed
- Apply comprehensive engineering principles and corrosion theory to prepare supporting mathematical calculations and conceptual design plan
- Complete customer invoices for submittal to district engineering manager on a monthly basis
- Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control
- Ensure proper application of methods and procedures, modify as appropriate
- Assist in training entry-level technical staff
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field
- NACE CP 3 Certification required
- 5 years Cathodic Protection project experience
- Strong project management and problem-solving background
- Must travel to client sites as needed

Job Title: Corrosion or Cathodic Protection Specialist

Responsibilities/Summary of Functions
- Provides technical expertise, qualification evaluations and continuous guidance to Operations corrosion technicians and management.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to Operations and Engineering for the design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the Company’s corrosion control/cathodic protection assets.
- Consistently analyze and resolve corrosion control issues involving multiple components, personnel, and operations;
- Document activities and inspections as well as review same to discern issues with accuracy of data and information contained in reports prepared by others;
- Interpret and apply the company’s procedures with an appreciation of underlying industry codes and standards and government regulations;
- Defend the company’s technical and procedural positions related to corrosion control activities and represent the company in an agency audit, inspection, or enforcement action;
- Provide technical support related to external corrosion control monitoring and mitigation with in-depth knowledge of rectifiers, test points, bonds, close interval survey, current demand, etc.
- Cathodic protection system design and installation to include impressed current and galvanic anode systems; deep and shallow anode ground beds
- Cathodic protection testing to include interference testing and mitigation
- Provide technical support related to atmospheric corrosion monitoring and mitigation to include coating inspections, coating failure investigations and re-coating/painting specifications, management and oversight
- Analyze and resolve corrosion control problems.
- Identifies potential problems with company procedures written to comply with state and federal regulations and department technical policies and practices.
- Participates in new facility design and commissioning.
Requirements/Qualification
- B.Sc in Engineering or physical science discipline,
- NACE CP 4 certification or its equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in design of CP systems.
- Must have a strong knowledge of, NACE and ASME codes and standards relating to pipeline corrosion.
- Must have specific knowledge of codes/standards applicable to inspection (ASTM, API, ASME, NACE, ANSI, etc.,); and pipeline processes with experience in chemical inhibitors/biocides, monitoring, inspection, and material selection.
- Prior experience working with an Operator in the implementation of a Corrosion Management Program.
- Demonstrated Management and Leadership skills with an emphasis on mentoring and team building.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational/analytical skills.
- Must have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer skills, proficiency with MS Word, Excel & Power point.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with problem solving & teamwork ability.
- Must be able to present self in a professional manner through interaction and communication and be reliable and punctual.
Job Title: Cathodic Protection Tester

Responsibilities/Summary of Functions
- Prepare for planned cathodic protection projects
- Perform lock out and tag out procedures
- Operate and use testing equipment
- Perform trouble shooting on cathodic protection systems
- Conduct function tests
- Gather data, prepare records and reports
- Install, maintain and repair components of a cathodic protection system
- Troubleshoot and replace components on a rectifier that is not installed
- Plan and perform duties involved with testing, evaluation and installation of cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion on various structures
- Work with specific objectives and instruction from senior staff on customer drawings and specifications
- Conduct various specific test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes
- Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data
- Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings
- Assist senior staff in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports
- Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent detail
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables
- Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations
- Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
- Recommend modifications as needed
- Provide maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operating condition and render minor repairs.
Requirements/Qualification
- OND Diploma
- NACE CP1 certification
- A minimum of 5 years cognate experience.
- Experience with land survey, navigation, interpretation of engineering designs, mechanical repair, IT, and/or construction highly preferred
- Ability to travel extensively for physically demanding work in an outdoor environment (75% of the time)
- Capability to operate ATV, and use general hand/power tools
- Must have strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- Commitment to working safely and producing high quality, ethical service
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Highly motivated and thrives in a dynamic, team-based environment
- Desire to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management; locally and through other office locations
