We are currently in search of qualified candidates with solid experience in the oil and gas industry to handle some of their key projects for our client, to fill the position below:     Job Title: Instrumentation Technician (Oil and Gas) Location: Lagos Job Description

  • Carry out preliminary and basic instrument studies/design in-house.
  • Ensure that the facilities Engineering Contractors submit all deliverables on time and check it regularly.
  • Prepares data sheets, MTO for flow lines & production facilities.
  • Draw up electrical material class, specifications for material requests to Procurement.
  • Read and interpret facility engineering drawings, designs and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
  • To interface with Procurement Department for quality assurance.
  • Draw up and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and company's technical specifications for studies
  • Prepare invitations to tender.
  • Follow-up Purchase Orders to ensure timely approval.
  • Control the quality of the deliverables received from third parties.
  • To check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the statement of requirements
  • Ensure effective and timely response to piping technical queries and verify compliance with company procedures.
  • Validate piping/mechanical design studies by ensuring that they are accurate and meet overall Statement of Requirements.
  • Manage and motivate piping staff / contract staff in the section in order to achieve greater result
Requirements
  • University Degree in Instrumentation/Petroleum/Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years to 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas production facilities.
  • Knowledge of International standards, regulations in the oil and gas industry.
  • Use of Pack Office and AutoCAD with an experience in project specifications could be added
  • Experience in onshore/offshore operations for Chevron, Total would be an added advantage.

    Job Title: Mechanical Technician (Oil and Gas) Location: Lagos Job Description
  • In depth knowledge of Mechanical, Production and Facilities.
  • Must be capable of applying production, operational, Mechanical engineering and management principles to resolve mechanical problems and optimize hydrocarbon production enhancement opportunities
  • Must have experience to resolve motor pump, conveyor, hydraulic, mechanical and other industrial equipment problems
  • Must have a proven ability to plan / lead projects and must be able to work under pressure

Requirements

    Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Oil and Gas) Location: Lagos Job Description
  • Coordinate with the activities of instrumentation to ensure amenability with laid down standards and requirements.
  • Ensure consistency and continuity in the engineering interfaces with other interfacing packages where applicable.
  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to outline and implement all the requirements and instrumentation systems
  • Assist in the assessment of engineering, procurement, construction, installation and review of contractor/subcontract’s engineering and as well as vendors in relation to electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Supervise electrical and instrumentation discipline trainings at detailed engineering in terms of technical, planning and interfaces and reporting aspects.
  • Handle and promote the most cost-effective solutions in the design of the engineering facilities, including promotion of substitutes for electrical and instrumentation design to optimize projects.
  • Prepare plans and schedules as are required to support the construction activities at the engineering facilities.
Requirements
  • Degree/HND in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years to 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas production facilities especially in a reputable oil service company or an Oil and Gas company handling and maintaining electrical equipment’s.
  • Knowledge of applicable design software’s, applicable codes and standards for electrical engineering and construction.

    Job Title: Turbine Specialist Location: Lagos Job Functions
  • Organises on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility,
  • Assists the Planning Engineer with the resourcing and suitable planning input to ensure a quality preparation and execution of all Maintenance works.
  • With his teams assists specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC),
  • Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during preparation and performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
  • Manages interventions using the CMIMS and work packs provided by the planning team,
  • Reviews all intervention reports in the CMIMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the detailed technical reports related to his field,
  • Monitors (and in certain plant - Operates) the functioning of utilities and all equipment placed under his responsibility, Takes part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on SITE,
  • Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams and actively participates in this himself, leading others by his example,
  • Manages and Coaches/Mentors the team of technicians directly under his responsibility, Is a member of the SITE emergency team,
  • Carries out, at CONTRACTOR’s site representative’s request, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Takes in charge the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation is resumed.
Methods:
  • Identifies, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any delicate operations and ensures that proper studies of the risks involved are carried out beforehand,
  • Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements,
  • Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggests improvements, Warns support and planning teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts,
  • Keeps track of any backlog of work in his area of responsibility and suggests corrective measures to COMPANY and CONTRACTOR if this backlog threatens to become unmanageable,
  • Suggests improvements and requests modifications.
Quality Assurance:
  • Verifies the quality of his teams’ interventions by frequent on-site checks and final checks prior to hand-back of large, critical or high integrity equipment to production after maintenance activity.
  • Ensures that the members of his teams have the qualifications and skills required for the tasks entrusted to them and, if need be, suggests corrective measures.
Other Responsibilities
  • He is responsible for maintenance operations within his field of competence.
  • He ensures that maintenance operations under his responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his field, carried out on SITE by CONTRACTOR.
  • He guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment he is responsible for on production SITES.
  • He plays a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training and development by mentoring on SITE.
Requirements The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:
  • Higher National Diploma HND or Certificate (B.Sc.) with 10 to15 years' experience in the field of maintenance on oil and gas production installations,
  • A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations
  • Specific professional knowledge: CMIMS : SAP/R3
  • Mechanical Specific: Aero Derivative Gas Generators (GE LM2500 preferably), Compressors, Firewater pumps, HP Barrel pumps, Submersible water pumps, Process and Utilities Valves (all types), Diesel Generators, etc.

  • HVAC
  • Specific: All HVAC plant and controls (AHU’s, Fan’s, motors, Belt drives, All Refrigeration and Freezer room equipment and its associated controls), Good Mechanical Engineering Background, Operational experience in the operation of Utilities equipment.

    Job Title: Crane Operator Location: Lagos Job Description
  • We are currently in search of “crane operators” with solid experience in the oil and gas industry to handle some of their key projects for our client.
Responsibilites
  • Handles crane lifting operations based standard operating procedures.
  • He will be responsible for the efficient handling of different cranes.
  • Carries out and verifies all lifting equipment’s in preparation for lifting operations.
  • Carries out lifting operations according to site operations.
  • He will supervise the slinging and rigging of equipment’s and also measure load capacities for cargoes.
  • Always maintain safe crane operations based on manufacturer’s request.
  • Very knowledgeable in crane operations and safety procedures.
  • Always carry out the physical inspection of cranes and related equipment’s.
  • Always check and monitor the work environment and weather conditions for the use of the cranes.
Requirements
  • Solid years of experience in handling of cranes in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Minimum of O’ Level or First School Leaving Certificate.
  • Quite fit and energetic individual.
  • Strong level of commitment and accountability.
