Job Title: Senior Exploration Geologist
Location: Nigeria

Job Descriptions
45% Technical - Exploration Geologist to be Petroleum system analysis, New Play concept, prospect generation and maturation:
- Develop strong leads, generate prospects, mature these prospects; and work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct sequence stratigraphic well correlation, sedimentary facies prediction, seismic sequence stratigraphy and chronostratigraphy.
- 2D and 3D seismic mapping (especially with low quality data) from prospect to regional scales and have experience of prospect generation with a track record of prospect deliveries.
- Regional Basin-Petroleum system studies, fault seal analysis, well correlations, seismic interpretation and mapping, play fairway assessment, structural and stratigraphic reconstruction, risk and volume assessments.
- Review and interpret seismic data, including horizon correlation, and construct time and depth charts.
- Generate advanced seismic attribute analysis and use this analysis on large wells and seismic datasets.
- Conduct annual evaluations of hydrocarbon-in-place for use in estimating remaining reserves and ultimate recovery.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise third party geological studies to support reservoir modelling studies within budget and on time.
- Assist the geological operations team in Exploratory/Appraisal well planning and design through the using of Petrel trajectory/tracking analysis.
30% Liaison and coordination - Contribute to the well planning and design process to the Exploratory and Appraisal program:
- Provides technical advice and take a major responsibility in technical committee meeting, liaison with third party, Government regulatory / JV Partner for approval process.
- Assist G&G team to prepare Exploration drilling program and Appraisal wells plan.
- Maintain ongoing interaction with geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers to ensure a seamless workflow with respect to data transfer and integration.
- Work with the operations geology team to provide input into the well location selection, planning and design process.
- Initiate proposals to conduct in-house and third-party geological studies.
- Interface with multiple levels, including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and venture partners.
10% Control - Policy, procedure and risk mitigation:
- Maintain compliance with company guidelines and requirements regarding the gathering, quality control, maintenance, storage and retrieval of technical data.
- Ensure compliance with and proper application of company procedures and internal regulations, including those pertaining to confidential information, and recommend updates as needed.
10% Reporting - Prepare reports in support of department activities:
- Oversee preparation of data package presentations.
- Provide reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders as required.

5% Coaching, Training and Mentoring - Actively contribute to the development of staff:

Job Title: Senior Petrophysicist

Job Description
- Currently looking for a technical leader and contributor responsible for designing, providing supervision and implementing petrophysical activities associated with active field development, reservoir surveillance and subsurface studies including opportunity identification and generation to support well integrity, production sustainment and cost optimization.
Key Accountabilities
- Designs and provides input on key petrophysical activities, strategy, improvement initiatives, technology, sustainability efforts, and cost optimization opportunities to Geoscience management for consideration into Petroleum Engineering annual work program and activities.
- Supervises and performs duties in open hole and cased hole logging and analysis to calculate and evaluate reservoir parameters for both exploratory and development wells. That includes:
- Preparation and initiation of detailed logging programs; Wire line, TLC, LWD.
- Supervises wireline logging operations and QA/QC the data of; Basic Combo Logs, MDT, NMR/CMR, Image Log and other advanced logs.
- Provides technical specifications and requirements for logging and perforation tools.
- Carries out quick look preliminary formation and log analysis.
- Recommends test and production intervals in liaison with geologist and reservoir engineer.
- Exchanges information with colleagues including reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers and geologists.
- Develops analysis and build the petrophysical models for green and brown fields of Niger Delta blocks.

- Develops, provides and implements petrophysical data acquisition program, assessment and evaluation results for Niger Delta block activities related to the understanding and optimizing waste water disposal including the petrophysical characterization of the disposal reservoirs and their adjacent seals. Strengthens oversight on the monitoring of acid gas disposal through reviewing, qualifying and recommending new petrophysics based technologies as they become available to ensure effective and safe water / Gas injection programs are delivered.
- Maintains and files accurate and verified petrophysical well records. Updates the Database as required.
- Develop and execute technical mentoring program and activities for graduate trainees and less experience staff. Organize, participate and deliver knowledge sharing activities in areas of expertise internally within the company in support of high-performance culture.
- Maintains effective well cost control procedures for field development. Ensures work practises are safe and meets environmental standards. Also ensures compliance with security directives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geoscience or Petroleum Engineer from an accredited university
Experience:
- 15 years of hands-on experience, to be a self-initiative and strong team player.
- Good knowledge on across Niger Delta debo-belts variety of fields, asset life cycles
- Expert in computer skills in commonly used software (Microsoft Suite, etc) as well as skill area specific computer skills (e.g.Techlog, Interactive Petrophysics, Geolog, Petrel)

- Field development Plan to be functional head for the complete field development studies.
- Supports assets in determining opportunities to develop studies to assist with reservoir characterisation and surface-subsurface integration.
- Advise and review reservoir geological modelling work by conducting technical review in providing technical guidance in area of specialisation and technical solution to specific issues / potential problems in structure, facies and property modelingto ensure technical reliability and integrity in reservoir characterization to approve resource assessments and input to reservoir simulation for maximise recovery and effective cost.
- Update the reservoir model based on new geological information to optimize well locations to combine maximum ultimate hydrocarbon recovery and accelerated production.
