Job Summary
- To provide alongside other clinical colleagues, appropriate and qualitative Primary Care services to Hospital clients/patients in order to diagnose and treat various injuries, illnesses & diseases.
- This role supports the Hospital’s Mission of total patient management by leveraging modern technology, the best in human capital, robust network collaboration and teamwork to drive the process of excellent care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical:
- Work in close co-operation with and support other clinical & medical professionals and colleagues across the Organization to provide Primary Care Services to the Hospital’s patients and referred clients form other hospitals & clinics as follows: Urgent medical and nursing services (including resuscitation, stabilization and assessment and diagnosis, treatment and referral as necessary); assessing the urgency and severity of presenting problems through history taking, examination and investigation.
- Participate and support the total management of patients in the wards by assisting with the clerking of cases and performing of minor procedures.
- Contribute to the timeliness of performing and reporting all patient examinations.
- Take assigned Call Duty as per Hospital/Department guidelines.
- Undertake all work in accordance with contractual requirements and the Hospital’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

Job Title: Head of Department (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
Location: Benue
Unit / Dept.: Obstetrics And Gynaecology
Reporting To: Chief Medical Director
Responsible For
- All members of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dept.
- To provide, in consultation with other colleagues, appropriate services & interventions in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to patients of the Hospital & Medi-care Centre. Focusing on the daily oversight of the Department,the Department Head will play an integral role in the Management Team of the Hospital, serving as a mentor and subject matter expert, training medical officers, midwives and other colleagues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical:
- To manage, lead & coordinate the personnel and efficient operations of the Hospital’s OB/GYN Department.
- Perform and/or direct the Hospital’s OB/GYN Staff to perform a variety of patient examinations, medical interventions and/or procedures including interviewing new patients to assess their symptoms, needs, or problems and the conduct of wellness exams e.g. pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
- Record and utilize patients’ medical history for diagnosis; order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc. to effectively diagnose health problems.
- Communicate examination/requested test results to patients’ families’ or primary physician(s) through written reports, emails or verbally, either by phone or in person.
- Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising up to delivery and postnatal care; occasionally in collaboration with a midwife.
- Counsel patients on safe sex, Family Planning and preventative medicine practices.

- This position is responsible for efficiently processing various Head Office payments and other accounting activities such as Accounts Payable, reconciliation of relevant sub-ledger(s), control accounts to the General Ledger and maintenance of Head Office petty cash.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting and Financial Statements:
- Timely processing of Head Office accounting ledgers and sub–ledgers by verifying and posting all account transactions to the accounting software on a daily basis.
- Ensure the proper documentation of the Company’s financial records to aid the preparation of the Company’s financial statement against agreed timelines.
- Efficiently maintain and manage the Head Office petty cash.
- Review and process Head Office Cash Advance requests; receive & review Advance retirements against supporting documents
Accounts Payable:
- Timely Processing of Head Office payments to suppliers, contractors and employees were necessary.
- Monthly reconciliation of Vendor/Supplier statements and related transactions.
- Daily processing of Head Office accounts payables and raising of accurate payment vouchers as/when required.
Financial Control:
- Review invoices for consistency with purchase/service orders and process.
- Call over daily entries against originating/supporting documents.
- Monthly reconciliation of the Hospital’s fixed assets and inventory to the General Ledger.
- Proof branch expense entries per branch returns to ensure accuracy and validity and forward to the Accounts Manager for final review authorization/approval to post.

- This role will oversee the effective management of the Hospital and its’ operations.
- As Chief Medical Director, you are responsible for managing the Hospital’s clinical operations, hospital budgets, recruiting and training physicians and other healthcare professionals, liaising between administration and medical staff, ensuring that all staff adhere to safety standards and that patients receive the highest standard of medical care.

- Work with the Operations Manager to develop appropriate performance goals, key performance indicators and benchmarks for the Organization.
