Job Title: Land Surveyor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • We are presently looking to hire a detail-oriented Land Surveyor with history in the Land Surveying, Civil engineering construction, in top Companies.
  • He will be responsible for mapping and measuring, the property’s topography and existing building improvement.
  • The candidate should be highly skilled in the demonstration and usage of survey equipment such as TERSUS DIFFERENTIAL Global POSITIONING SYSTEM (DGPS), TOPCON DGPS, CHC NAV DGPS, CHC NAV T2 TOTAL STATION, TOPCON T2 TOTAL STATION, LEICA and KOLLIDA TOTAL STATIONS, also with practical experience in Drone Mapping as well as other Aerial Photogrammetric Equipment.
  • Should also be skilled in survey Software such as Autocad, Civil Cad, Surfer and other GIS software such as Arc GIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, Survey Soft, Cadastral Wizard etc.

Responsibilities

  • Measure distances, directions, and angles to determine, locate and define boundaries and maintain the cadastre
  • Produce reports for clients and management
  • Liaise with engineers, sub-contractors, clients and other on-site personnel
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings
  • Liaise with other onsite personnel such as engineers and supervisors
  • Create maps, plans, models and charts
  • Perform site surveys/survey functions
  • Assist in the procurement of packages
  • Use GPS, Robotic Total Stations (Theodolites), aerial and terrestrial scanners, and computer software.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Land Surveying or equivalent
  • 5 - 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Have effective communication skills - written and verbal
  • Experience using CAD or 12D software.
  • Have a firm understanding of providing survey functions for civil works
  • Demonstrative knowledge of software programs
