Job Title: Junior Brand Manager - CEWA

Job Description
Annual Marketing Plan (AMP):

  • Support the development of the annual marketing plan as per Product Marketing Plan (PMP) and Annual Business Plan (ABP) requirements (including Category Development, NS Forecast, Product Performance, Pricing Analysis, and Competitor Analysis)
  • Propose brand activity and measurable objectives in line with the CEWA Brand investment strategy and available budgets.

Consumer Understanding & Insights:

  • Critically observe consumers and shoppers, Develop an understanding of them through regular direct contact and research, understanding their environment, habits, attitudes
  • Implements approved consumer research based on business knowledge gaps and requirements
  • Develop relevant consumer insights that can be exploited for business gain in terms of product development and activations.

New Product Development (including Regional Integrated Innovations Management):

  • Work with Brand Managers, Sales, Shopper & Customer Marketing (S&CM)  in order to develop and present all launch/re-launch campaigns at monthly Supply &Operations Planning (S&OP)  meetings to ensure buy-in.
  • Follow the Launch/Re-Launch Standard Operating Procedures in order to achieve fast, efficient launches to market.

Marketing Communications Development: Above- The-Line (ATL):

  • Understand the media landscape and media consumption of the target market
  • Liaise with the creative agency and Brand Managers in the development and execution of appropriate local marketing communications activities in line with the international strategy, making use of international material and local production where required.

Below- The-Line (BTL):

  • Development and execution of relevant BTL initiative per the CEWA BTL strategy
  • Work with S&CM teams in the planning and execution of trade activations for key initiatives.

Brand Performance:

  • Monitor the development of Net sales and Market shares in line with the AMP via monthly performance analysis & reporting
  • Analysis of market data (Data Orbis, Kantar and Nielsen when available), identification of key issues and opportunities & provision of recommendations for appropriate corrective action

Input into Customer Marketing Plan:

  • Ensure sales team are fully briefed of brand plans and provide regular updates via the S&OP and commercial review meetings
  • Influence and agree the customer marketing activities with sales and S&CM to achieve the agreed customer marketing plan in line with promotional strategy.

Control of Brand Profitability & Budget:

  • Provide input into local pricing strategy, using robust market, consumer and competitor analysis
  • Accurately control the marketing investment/ budget in line with the agreed marketing plan and to reconcile and amend as necessary during the financial year to achieve Net Margin objectives forecast
  • To liaise with direct manager for budget amendments when necessary.

Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:

  • Degree in Marketing or any Business related Course.
  • Takes responsibility, self-motivated and uses initiative
  • Strong team player and willing to support
  • Good level of attention to detail
  • Budget management & control.
  • At least 3 years' experience in an FMCG company within Marketing or S&CM
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and agencies
  • Good organizational & analytical skills
  • Good influencing and communication skills
