Job Title: Electrical Support Technician
Location: Bayelsa
Job Role
- Perform general work or other assignments/duties necessary to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operations of the facilities with due regards to the protection of the environment and host communities.
- Must be willing to be on-all ad work variety of shifts in order to meet plant needs. Also be open to learn new skills and/or occasional cross discipline activities to progress the team goals.
- Proper documentation of work executed via SAP systems as may be required.
- Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
- Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity on continuous basis.
- Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation and close-out.
- Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
- Installation, maintenance, repair, test, and commissioning of electrical/electronic equipment including systems necessary to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of plant equipment.
- Work on electrical transmission and distribution systems, and all types of electrical equipment without supervision and following electrical safety rules.
- Troubleshoot PLCs ladder logic software programs, PLC interfaces with electrical devices, like motors, Power Management Systems and Electrical switchgears, correcting major and minor faults.
- Collaborate with other colleagues to execute regulatory inspections, preventative maintenance, and reactive/breakdown maintenance identified during inspections or as requested by Operations Team.
- Reduce maintenance cost whilst assuring technical integrity and ensuring that SPDC Quality standards are not compromised.
- Safely and accurate execute electrical maintenance activities on a wide variety of operationally sensitive electrical equipment, following maintenance/inspection procedures and manuals.
- Works closely with the Control Room while performing maintenance to ensure no nuisance alarms or trips.
- Comply with SPDC’s HSE-MS requirements e.g. adhere to Permit-to-Work Safe system of work, etc.
- Involvement in Engineering / Production related Improvement Initiatives.
Requirements
- CompEX certification and OEM (Switchgear, Generator, Cables) Equipment specific certification will be an added advantage.
- OND / HND / B.Sc in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Work Experience 5-10yrs work experience in operations and maintenance of Electrical generation and distribution systems/equipment within the oil and gas Industry.
Skills:
- Maintenance of low and high voltage electrical systems including Gas Turbine Generators is required. An in-depth knowledge in power generation and distribution up to 11KV, including diesel and turbo generators, UPS systems and Hazardous Area Classification for an oil and gas facility is beneficial.
- Proficiency and proven experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Protection Relays, and Working knowledge of job specific software applications (Siemens Simatic PLCs, Clink II system using Allen Bradley PLCs and Ref 542 software) will be an added advantage.
- Application of troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair PLC based controls panels, relay logic, ladder logic.
- Knowledge of hazardous area and intrinsic safety design.
- knowledge of Electrical Safety practices.
- Execution of preventive and corrective maintenance including troubleshooting electrical systems/equipment and controls.
- Skill level proficiency on interpretation of electrical schematics, loop drawings and general equipment arrangement drawings.
Job Title: Instrumentation (Paco) Engineer
Location: Bayelsa
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety critical equipment
- Technically support Operations personnel towards plant safe operations.
- Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
- Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the Flow station.
- Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
- Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity on continuous basis.
- Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation and close-out.
- Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
- Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of the Robertshaw Panel integrated Control, Safety Instrumented and Fire & Gas Systems.
- Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery.
- Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
- Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
- Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
Requirements
- Work Experience 5-10yrs work experience in Instrumentation within the oil and gas Industry.
- Vendor Specific System Engineers’ certification will be an added advantage.
- B.Eng in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Skills:
- Field Instrumentation PM & CM including Pneumatic and DCS systems (DeltaV, Yokogawa, SMAR, Foxboro)
- Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems maintenance
- Experience in PAS and fire protection systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Safeguarding systems maintenanceExperience in CAO/SCADA
- Experience in RobertShaw panel configurations and associated systems loop.

Job Title: Field Operations Supervisor (Wells and Facilities)
Location: Bayelsa
Job Description
- Perform daily first line monitoring of process parameters and variables.
- Gather daily production data, determine the production performance.
- Ensure optimized chemical injection rates are followed as advised.
- Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating practice.
- Responsible for preparing equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required.
- Execute routine production and maintenance operations and minor non-routine production and Maintenance activities as directed by his Team Leader
- Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation etc., for day-to-day maintenance work.
- Perform daily check and minor maintenance based on the check list etc.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team on assigned tasks and activities.
- Take requested samples for analyses, take and record field data requested for general monitoring of plant performance
- Participate in monthly CASHES meeting and daily toolbox meeting
- Supervise Operations of Oil/Gas Wells, Remote manifolds, Flowstations, Gasplant and associated assets in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with stipulated guidelines.
- Manage day-to-day production operations field activities and manage safety and environmental issues.
- Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.
- Start-up wells and facilities (hot and cold start).
- Perform basic troubleshooting on wells and facilities to ensure stability.
- Prepare the wells and facilities/equipment for (re) commencement of production/processing.
- Perform monthly well test and sampling of producing wells.
- Measure, validate and report production volumes accurately
- Carryout ad-hoc annulus pressure monitoring of all wells in the production unit.
- Perform periodic well integrity assurance tasks and activities (both well's flow-wetted and non-flow-wetted components)
Requirements
- Ability to work with a multi-discipline team and supervise a team to safely execute assigned tasks.
- Oil/Gas Wellhead operations & maintenance experience is essential; Possession of valid IWCF certification is desirable.
- B.Sc in Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in oilfield operations, of which 5 years should be at supervisory level.
