Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and providing legal advisory service
• Advising on the legal framework for real estate financing with particular focus on capital market related transactions
• Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
• Participate in the decision-making processes on a wide range of issues related to the firms activities
• Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with clients

Required Attributes:

• Substantial experience in drafting and reviewing legal documentation
• Thorough understanding of corporate and commercial law
• Analytic, reliable, innovative and creative
• Convincing, co-operative and stress-resistant
• Proactive and independent

Requirements

• A Law Degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) at the University and Nigerian Law School. (An LL.M. Degree would be an added advantage)
• At least 5 years relevant experience in the legal profession
• Sound knowledge of the law
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including strong presentation skills
• Effective use of computer systems for the generation of professional reports, and scheduling
• Work etiquette and strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and capacity to be detail-oriented
• High level of integrity and professional accountability
