We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Short Summary of the Job
- Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role will be responsible for participating in IP network operation, infrastructure connectivity and security planning as well as development.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in IP network operation, infrastructure connectivity, security planning as well as development
- Support network design and implementation for core and client networks
- Ensure all IP devices are secured and within operational limits
- Support daily IP network operation, project management and services monitoring
- Conduct network analyzing and troubleshooting
- Coordinate with Regional IP Registry
- Document all network changes
- Other task assigned by line manager.
Requirements
Education and/or Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Communications/Network/Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- IP Certification, preferably from Cisco on CCNP level equivalent or above.
Essential Skills/Knowledge:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IP Network and System Support
- LAN/WAN technology including: TCP/IP (routers, configuration and setup), Security (firewalls – Cisco, Juniper, Barracuda), Network management (switches, hubs, fiber-optic, cabling, packet sniffing)
- Advanced knowledge in Router, Catalyst, Load Balancer, Firewall, Security, Internet Connection, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP4, VPN, Frame Relay, TCP/IP, LAN/ WAN, VLAN, Spanning Tree, Ethereal
- Knowledge in Unix/ Linux, Shell script, IDS, QoS, Video/ Streaming Protocols,
- Experience designing last mile access solutions for different environments (DSL, microwave radio, PTP and PTP radio, fibre etc.)
- Strong written and oral communications skills in English
- Willing to perform work or provide support outside office hours
- Highly motivated and resourceful
- Must be a team player and be able to prioritize different request and requirements.
- Hand-on design and operation of network like BGP and MPLS
Desirable Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience in ISP and managing a sizable IP network
- Experience in liaising with Regional IP Registry (APNIC, RIPE, AfriNIC etc)
- Knowledge of structure cabling and VoIP.

Job Title: IT/Network Support
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Details
- To support and maintain internal IT architecture. This position is also responsible for administering desktops support as well as all company servers, printers, phones, and other peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related services
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
- Provide network–related user issues as escalated
- Assist in network project design and implementations
- Maintain and support company’s LAN/WAN environment
- Daily maintenance and problem resolution
- Maintain necessary documentation on both network issues and projects assigned
- Maintain and troubleshoot Apple servers (Open Directory) for a middle-sized environment (less than 200 computers)
- Set-up of computers for staffs
- Troubleshoot application and hardware issues on both user and server levels
- Aid in maintaining that all servers/computers/peripherals are in good working condition
- Perform servers and other computer asset maintenance (regular and ad-hocs)
- Maintain hardware and software updated inventory
- Resolve all application (emails, applications, etc) related issues
- Participate in designing and implementation of various systems/application projects as requested by the client
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in IP network maintenance and
- Must be a team-player
- Certification on Apple environment is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
Skills Required:
- Understanding of wires and wireless basic networking
- Ability to use an Apple Macintosh system
- Ability to manage and support 1st and 2nd level issues on an Apple Macintosh system & Microsoft Windows System
- Basic understanding of Directory Services on both Windows (Active Directory) and Macintosh (Open Directory)
- Understanding of hardware configuration of both Apple and Windows devices is highly desirable
- Intermediate understanding of DNS, DHCP, Filesharing (with or without SAMBA)
- Ability to support basic applications like MS Office and others
- Advance knowledge in routing (EIGRP/OSPF) and switching (VLAN’s, STP, etc)
- Advanced knowledge in SNMP and other network management protocols/systems
- Advanced knowledge in QoS principles and use of different QoS appliances
- Able to identify network issues, propose and implement actions to resolve the problem
- Experienced and knowledgeable on different wireless technologies (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) design, implementation, optimization and troubleshooting
- Certifications (CCNP/CCDA/CCIP) is a plus
