Job Title: Site Foreman
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- A Foreman is in charge of work crews, maintaining the
camaraderie, delegating responsibilities, mentoring young workers and
ensuring the project is completed successfully.
- He must also be able to manage the expenditure on the project.
- A Foreman usually performs many of the following tasks:
- He must be able to multitask, manage high stress situations and
resolving issues efficiently. It is very important that he's aware and
conversant with safety regulations and always enforce them, to ensure
the safety for workers and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing site operations.
- Managing plant and labour returns
- Ordering and following up on site material deliveries
- Supervising subcontractors and other labour workers
- Maintaining health and safety records
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in any Building related course with at least 3 years active site experience.
- Ability to supervise and work with different teams.
- Good knowledge IT and communication.
- Ability to liaise with senior management and labourers
- Good knowledge of planning and building maintenance.
- Ability to manage stress and solve problems.
- Ability to work at high standard.
- Be positive and details oriented.
- Good understanding of blue-prints, sketches and drawings.
Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Site engineers turn the plans of consulting civil engineers
(designers) into reality. They oversee the actual construction on the
ground and work in conjunction with other professionals. He must have a
good understanding of design and construction processes, as well as of
health and safety issues.
- As an engineer he will use his professional expertise to
organise human and material resources on site, ensure that the project
runs to time and budget and is safe to work on.
Responsibilities
- Liaise and work jointly with the design team (consulting engineers);
- Negotiate modifications with architects and consulting engineers;
- Deal with the logistics of supplies;
- Schedule work;
- Provide appropriate plans for construction;
- Monitor the provision of materials;
- Liaise with, and direct, the sub-contractors employed on the project;
- Ensure quality of workmanship;
- Deal skillfully with a diverse range of people including
clients, architects, other engineering professionals, sub-contractors
and members of the public;
- Take responsibility for health and safety on site;
- Make judgements and solve problems;
- Supervise construction;
- Find solutions to and overcome unforeseen construction difficulties;
- Schedule and adjust each stage of the project to meet time and budget targets;
- Deal with any complaints from local people experiencing disruption due to building works.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification - HND/BSc Civil Engineering.
Additional relevant qualification and professional certification is an
advantage.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- A quantity surveyor manages all costs relating to building and
civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final
figures.
- As a quantity surveyor he would work in the office or on site.
- He will be involved in all projects from the start, preparing estimates and costs of the work.
- When the project is in progress, he will keep track of any
variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to
show profitability.
- He seeks to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for
money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
- This includes ensuring statutory building regulations are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Undertake cost analysis for all projects.
- Work closely with account department on fund disbursements.
- Assist in establishing client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
- Perform risk, value management and cost control;
- Advise on a procurement strategy;
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders;

Job Description
- Achieving assigned sales targets
