  • The Multimedia Designer is responsible for the planning, concept development, design and execution of all creative deliverables for the Clients and Markets Development team and the firm.
Reporting relationship:
  • The jobholder will report to the head of Clients and Markets Development with respect to projects and assignments, but may report to other managers responsible for specific projects as the need arises.
Role Description The Multimedia Designer must demonstrate knowledge, skill, and leadership in the following:
  • Creative project management, including but not limited to design planning and strategy, ideation, conception, etc.
  • Multimedia design, including but not limited to the design and development of graphics and other media for all forms of visual communications (videos, animations and moving images; flyers, brochures and publications; designs for screen, including web, mobile and social media; environmental and large-format designs; etc)
Qualifications/Education
  • First degree.
  • Graphic design diploma, comparable graphic design school certification, or comparable work experience
Experience:
  • At least 3 years experience in a design capacity across various media.
  • Project management experience and ability a plus.
Key Competencies:
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of the following software:
    • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects)
    • Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel), especially for design purposes.
    • Web design knowledge a plus: HTML & CSS, and accompanying software (Dreamweaver).
  • Print production knowledge: Must demonstrate knowledge of the intricacies of the print production process, and be able to offer a high level of quality control through various stages of the production process.
  • Interpersonal skills: Should be enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing. Must be comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must offer proactivity and initiative
  • Must be a highly motivated, results-orientated individual with the ability to take responsibility and ownership for development.
  • Creativity: Ability to think creatively and encourage continuous improvement of all tasks and duties.
  • Comfortable with following brand guidelines: Ability to organise fairly complex source materials into a simple, coherent printed piece while maintaining the firm’s visual identity guidelines.
