Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Full Time

Objective

  • To provide an integrated Human Resources service with respect to Manpower planning and recruitment, in line with directives, policies, and procedures of the Company and to improve the performance levels of the employees.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Subsidiary Line Managers / Leadership team and Group Human Resources team on the overall centralized HR administrative functions which include but are not limited to manpower planning/audit, leave Management, loan administration/application, medical issues, and bills, discipline, benefits & compensation.
  • Maintaining accurate personnel records, drafting employment contracts, confirmation processes, and all other ad-hoc HR correspondence.
  • Working closely with departments, assisting Line Managers to interpret and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate all appraisals/PMS while working closely with colleagues / Senior colleagues and line Managers
  • Drive an effective learning and development strategy and that impacts the employees and the business
  • Ensure cordial relationship is maintained with Host Community.
  • Ensuring ethical standards and confidentiality is maintained.
  • Assist in driving and implementing Organization-wide change initiatives.
  • Managing grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure an updated repository of JDs for all roles in the organization along with measurable performance indicators for all roles
  • Co-ordinate induction processes to integrate new and transferred staff into the workplace.
  • Provide timely and accurate staff information for payroll administration in the case of Hiring, Firing, Deductions, Overtime, etc.
  • Promote workplace safety
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure Regulatory and legal compliance
  • Coordinate staff welfare and ensure customer satisfaction in the provision of the canteen, HMO, and Staff Bus “where provided”, as well as other welfare issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum: Degree in Human Resources or related field 
  • Minimum of 5-10 Years progressive experience in Hr. Practice
  • Professional certification will be an added advantage.
  • Evidence of continuous learning and personal development 
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Effective listening, excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrable skills In Human Resources metrics
  • Credible working experience in HR Manager roles.
  • Admirable interpersonal skills with a strong customer satisfaction orientation
