Head of Accounts Vacancy in a Chemical Supplies Company


Dragnet Solutions Limited - Our client, a chemical supplies company, is looking to recruit a Head of Accounts. Job Title: Head of Accounts Primary responsibilities

  • Ensuring that accounting/financial objectives of the Group are met, including monitoring and tracking of key company/group performance indices.
  • Budget preparation, monitoring and variance analysis.
  • Provision of reliable management decision making tools including but not limited to periodic activity reports and forecast as defined by the executive management.
  • Ensuring clear definition and implementation of company accounting policies, chart of accounts and procedures.
  • Facilitating and fostering cooperative relationships between Account Department and other organizational Units.
  • Exhibiting clear knowledge and understanding of legal frameworks and laws in relation to external stakeholders e.g Federal Inland Revenue Services / States Internal Revenue Services, external auditors etc, and ensuring compliances.
  • Establishing good leadership traits in managing the accounting team for performance optimization.
  • Carrying out any other adhoc functions as may be assigned by the executive management.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as an account head or senior account officer for more than 7 years.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive level.
  • Solid experience with Accounting software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and a good interpersonal relationship.
  • BA/BS degree in accounting or related field. Possession of a Masters Degree and /or Professional Certificate will be an advantage.
  • Must possess good leadership skills.
  • Age: Between 35 – 45 years old.
