Financial Analyst at Shoreline Natural Resources Limited


Shoreline Natural Resources was incorporated on 10th December 2010. The company is a joint venture between Shoreline Power Company Limited, a Nigerian Company which has extensive interests in the power sector together with a strong network of relationships and Heritage Oil Shoreline Natural Resources (Nigeria) B.V, a subsidiary of Heritage Oil Limited, which has a strong technical expertise and operations in the upstream sector in Tanzania, Papua, Russia, and New Guinea. Shoreline Natural Resources leveraged on the divestment plans of the Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited to sell its participating interests in some assets located in Nigeria. On 4th November 2012, Shoreline Natural Resources acquired 45% Participating Interest of SPDC in Oil Mining Lease 30 (OML).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description

  • Responsible for the preparation of financial statements to be reviewed by Head, Corporate Accounts and SNRL external auditor.
  • Attend to external auditors. Ensure financial records are balanced as part of preparation for annual external audits.
  • Assist with the review and monitoring of General Ledger accounts on an on-going basis to ensure accurate reporting in accordance with standards and pronouncements of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and the International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Relate with funding partners to review financial models and assist with the financial forecast;
  • Support JV Finance in scenario planning for JV Budget and work programme to evaluate profitability and other financial indices; Commercial evaluation of JV project to ascertain profitability and cash flow management
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Management Accounts and Presentations - to be shared with Executive Management, Board and External Parties (Lenders). These reports include Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cashflow Statements, Debtors Reports etc.
  • Prepare special reports including financial forecasts and models, variance analysis; revenue and cost trend analysis.
  • Any other roles that may be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
