Job Summary
- We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will analyze every day financial activities and subsequently provide advisory tosenior management on future financial plans.
- The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives based on financial statistics and data.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
- Monitor accounts receivable and advising management on best financial practices
- Optimiseend-to-end finance processes in the areas of Accounting Operations, Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Costing or Closing & Consolidation.
- Researchand reporton factors affecting business performance.
- Identifyand organizenew sources of finance for a company's debt facilities.
- Supervisethe preparation of comprehensive weekly and monthly reports for Management use.
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Implementinitiatives to reduce cost and improve the working capital cycle of the company.
- Improve enterprise performance management by optimising financial & management reporting or the balanced scorecard.
- Buildprofitable external relationships with appropriate contacts such as auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as State and Federal Tax Offices.
Requirements
- B.Sc /MA Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
- Minimum of 7 years experience in Financial Management.
- Proficient user of finance software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Abilityto manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being followed.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Experience in the financial management with previous roles such as financial manager/financial controller.
- Experience inFinancial Analysis and Management,Budgeting and Forecasting,Financial Advisory and Reporting, Cash and Credit Management,Business Performance Analysis
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns,Tax Planning & Management,Critical Problem-Solving Skills,Relationship Building,System Review and Improvement,Growth Strategy Development,Team Building and Leadership,Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
