We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Country Director Location: Lagos, Nigeria About the Role

  • The Executive Assistant is experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks.
  • He/She is able to work independently with little or no supervision. The Executive Assistant is a highly resourceful team-player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient.
  • The individual has the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
  • He/She will report directly to the Country Director.
Responsibilities Typical day-to-day would involve:
  • Arranging and managing travel itinerary, agenda and logistics.
  • Retiring expenses of the CD to the finance department.
  • Representing the CD by welcoming visitors/guests, organising dinners and other corporate functions; coordinating responses to questions and meeting requests directed to the CD.
  • Collaborating with Communications team in developing/maintaining appropriate social media presence for CD.
  • Supporting the CD in driving engagement among the Andela employee base through a variety of strategic initiatives.
  • Enhancing the CD and company’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value.
  • Assisting the CD with private and personal errands, and logistics planning.
  • Coordinating with the private staff of the CD to facilitate the effective delivery of their set deliverables.
  • Owning and managing administrative tasks for the Country Director (CD).
  • Drafting, editing and formatting documents, reports and presentations.
  • Assessing the priority of incoming and outgoing material to ensure the CD receives accurate and relevant information in a timely and often urgent basis;
  • Managing appoitments and an extremely busy/active calendar, agendas, meetings (including virtual) and interactive activities for the CD; Ensuring that activities/meetings commence and end on time.
  • Coordinating the logistical aspects of meetings and events with task owners and bringing together appropriate people and resources to support the CD’s agenda.
  • Coordinating the agenda of senior management team meetings and off-sites.

  • Has a degree from an accredited College or University.
  • Has a strong proficiency with Calendars, Document management and Spreadsheets.
  • Understands the complexities of working with people in multiple locations.
