An agro-alIied company that is into livestock farming, Feed milling, Technical Laboratory and Training Services. We are committed to animal health & production and focused on being the foremost operator in the Fish farming industry in Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Fish Farm Manager Location: Benin-City Responsibilities

  • Manage fish habitats Feed stock Involved in breeding and rearing of fishes
  • Maintain farm equipment and cages
  • Understand legislation and how to implement this into practical application
  • Ensure water supply is of sufficient quaty for the stock
  • Update knowledge of fish health and nutrition
  • Maintain records of stocks
  • Monitor the health of the fish and treat them when appropriate
  • Plan Fish breeding programs and growing schedules to obtain maximum efficiency
  • Adhere to environmental standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess first degree in Fisheries & other related courses
  • 5 - 10 years hands on experience in production, management, marketing & business development in fish production
  • Must be aware of different water management techniques
  • Must be a seasoned fish farmer, adapting to new technologies as they develop, putting learning into practical skills
  • Must possess stock skills such as fish handling, grading and harvesting
  • Knowledge of hatchery
  • Superb Oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research and business management
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to work under no supervision, good team player, must be assertive, focused and confident
  • Must pay close attention to detail in order to avoid expensive fish losses
