Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Zaria Kaduna,
Employment Type: Full-time

Details

  • The Warehouse Manager will maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programmes, , operational and personnel policies and procedures. He or she will also be involved in maintaining warehouse staff by selecting, orienting and training.

Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualification
The candidate:

  • Must be a B.Sc. or HND holder. Having a Masters Degree will be an added advantage
  • Working experience must be between 1 - 3 years

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Kaduna

Details

  • The preferred candidate will be saddled with the responsibilities of keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. He/ She will also run accounting software programs (e.g. SAGE50) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting officershould be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
  • Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

Qualification

  • Must have a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or related fields.
  • Working experience must be between 1-3 years in an Accounting or cognate field
  • Must be experienced in the use of SAGE50 or related accounting software
  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable officerorAccounts payable officer
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

Job Title: Store Keeper

Location: Zaria, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Receiving, storing and issuing goods
  • Managing the stock levels
  • Giving out the supplies from the stock
  • Preparing the inventories and maintaining the stock records
  • Using computerized systems for entering the records
  • Checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders
  • Preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc.
  • Coordinating the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions
  • Finding out sources of supply and is responsible for obtaining quotes from the suppliers as well
  • Making sure to get rid of surplus or obsolete stock
  • Maintenance of record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system
  • Overseeing that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement
  • Ensuring that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
  • Undertaking the functions of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members
  • Supervising the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily
  • Ensuring the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking
  • Keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse
  • Preparing the daily, weekly and monthly reports of all the activities in the warehouse like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, point of collection and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, etc.
  • Providing the best service needs to the existing as well as the new customers and ensures that each and every customer remains satisfied
  • Overseeing the cycle counting programs for the distribution centers as well as the stores
  • Developing, maintaining, and adopting the best operational procedures and practices for inventory control
  • Finding out discrepancies and determining the root cause for the issue found
  • Performing all the procedures and activities concerned with the management of the inventory and generally working under the supervision of Accounts department
  • Giving daily, weekly and monthly reports to the President, Vice President amd any other assigned staff
  • May perform other related duties as well.

Qualifications

  • Skilled Driver with an SSCE qualification
  • 5 years working experience
  • A good knowledge of routes in Northern Nigeria/ Southern Nigeria/ FCT (any one or a combination of two or all)
  • A 5-year valid Class D or E Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of automobile engineering will be an added advantage
