Job Title: Steward
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- We are looking to hire a Steward who will be responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses.
- The duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry.
Job Description
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized, through sweeping, mopping and ensuring that floors are dry and clean at all times
- Cleaning and properly arranging all the fridges/freezers which include packaging, arranging with Ziplocs or other storage containers all the raw food items received from store and ensuring contents are well labeled.
- Wash, Wipe, Sort, and stack all service ware, cookware and utensils, and pans, including all china, silverware, and glassware and also store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner in the pantry
- Empty, wash, and return trash bins as per the Apartments and authority standards, at stipulated disposal time and Adhere to recycling guidelines.
- Help maintain safety in the kitchen by clearing spills promptly, keeping all kitchen equipment, oven vents, floor, wall, and cook surfaces, thoroughly clean.
- Assist the Cooks as and when necessary.
- Conduct monthly inventory, of china, silverware, and glassware, and update any shortages, breakages or chipped items found which should be removed from circulation.
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the chef or kitchen administrator.
- Maintain the kitchen, dish washing and back area in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with local authority on health and safety and hospitality industry guidelines
- Regular update of inventory items (raw food) stored in the kitchen mini store. Also ensure that requisitions replacement of stock items from store is done before close of business daily.
- Transporting received items from store/receiving bay and ensuring these are well arranged and preserved in the kitchen.
Competencies and Requirements
- OND holder or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in same or similar role
- Must be able to demonstrate organisation and neatness
- Experience in Hospitality / Hotel industry is required.
Job Title: Cook
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description
- A Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients at our kitchen processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines.
- Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare meals according to our standards and quality.
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Check food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arrange and garnish dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food.
- Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
Requirements and Skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness
- At least 5 years in same or similar role
- Prior knowledge or flair on pastry production is an advantage
- Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating on complex dishes
- Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people, such as wait staff, dishwashers, management and sometimes customers
- Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Accountability for the dishes they prepare measuring up to the expectations of management and customers alike
- Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the restaurant
- Manual skill and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing
- Ability to stand in one place for hours at a time, handle extreme heat and work shifts.
Job Title: Head Chef
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description
- We are looking for an energetic, passionate driven Head Chef who will lead a team of food specialists and ensure that our food maintains the highest quality.
- The Head Chef will be responsible for introducing and maintaining some new and delicious changes to our kitchen and delight our guests.
- Design menus that enhance customers’ culinary experience while keeping up high quality.
- Design standardized recipes with food presentation guidelines for each dish
- Submit cost proposals for menu items.
- Create and test new menus.
- Provide feedback regarding the food quality of large bulk purchases.
- Requests for food supplies
- Monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.
- Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
- Hire, train, and manage staff regularly.
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure uniform quality and presentation of meals.
Competencies and Qualifications
- Culinary Degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in the use of excel and other software
- Ability to track expenses and manage a budget.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a head chef or in a similar role
- Energetic, confident, creative
- Team player with Leadership and managerial skill
- Good time-management and organizational skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Has Strong passion for the art of food design.
- Must be in good physical shape and maintains excellent personal hygiene.
