Job Brief
- The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for forecasting the organization's financial standing based on financial and operational data and reports provided by the finance and accounting teams and advising the CEO and board on strategic direction.
- He/She will be responsible for tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions.
Job Responsibilities
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Provide leadership and management to the financial department
- Provide financial strategy recommendations to the CEO and executive team
- Identify and address potential financial risks for the company
- Oversee all financial decisions, such as budgeting and auditing
- Implement strategies and systems to improve financial performance
- Support financial department in developing short- and long-term financial goals
- Take control of financial records and documentation
- Serve as a key point of contact for financial department and auditors
- Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
- Works with the Chief Executive Officer and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
- Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
- Oversees investment of funds and works with investment/vendor capitalist to raise additional capital required for expansion.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite)
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
Other Requirements:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment
- Industry experience working in a crypto, payment gateway/switching, fintech services organization
- Disruptive innovator.
Salary
N16,000,000 - N22,000,000 / Annum.
