We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To ensure the production of the required quantities of finished goods that meet consumer expectations for quality and functionality, delivered at the appropriate time, optimum cost, and maximum efficiency.
  • This role also involves motivating factory personnel and ensuring adherence to best practices throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
  • Implement production planning and control processes to optimize workflow.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure products are available in the right quality, quantity, and at the right time.
  • Undertake weekly reconciliation of all materials received for production works.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the availability of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental precautions in the production area.
  • Ensure compliance with customer project safety programs.
  • Provide on-the-job training for fabrication personnel to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Ensure the cost-effective design of prefabricated buildings and other prefabrication structures.
  • Liaise with the Project/Planning team on shop drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for production.
  • Sign off on production material requisition notes.
  • Sign off on daily production notes.
  • Work with the Systems House on testing new chemical systems and addressing quality-related issues.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in production management tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Minimum of 1 year industrial experience in full management grade.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
