Description
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our instrumentation systems in our production facilities.
- We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team of Enginers who design, install, commission, and maintain instrumentation systems in ourproduction plants.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all instrumentation systems are functioning correctly, efficiently, and safely, to meet our production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement instrumentation systems for ourproduction processes
- Install, commission, and test new instrumentation equipment and systems
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing instrumentation systems
- Ensure that all instrumentation systems are calibrated and functioning within specified parameters
- Measurement and Instrumentation: Select and install appropriate measurement instruments, such as flow meters, level transmitters, and temperature sensors, to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
- Safety Instrumented Systems: Design and implement safety systems to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment, such as emergency shutdown systems and fire detection systems.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Quality Control: Toensure that the production process meets quality standards by monitoring and controlling parameters such as pH, temperature, and moisture content.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize process control and improve product quality
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for instrumentation systems
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel on instrumentation systems
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality policies, as well as relevant industry regulations
- Process Control and Automation: Design, install, and maintain control systems to monitor and regulate temperature, pressure, flow rate, and other parameters in the production process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in the oil and gas, food processing, or chemical industries / Manufacturing industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including control valves, transmitters, sensors, and actuators
- Experience with process control systems, such as DCS, PLC, and SCADA
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISA, API, and NFPA
