Job Title: Asset Manager - Contract

Location: Eti Osa, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Description

  • The asset manager is expected to recommend and create policies, processes, and standards for asset and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and create policy, processes, and standards for asset and inventory management;
  • Organize receiving function (Receive, inventory, and label company’s assets; Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that all goods meet specifications and correspond to the order);
  • Reconcile physical inventory with assets data managed by financial tools in the company and investigate any inconsistencies;
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and specific security requirements;
  • Making monthlyassetreports, recording and labelingassets used and unused for future and accurate records.
  • Prepare management reports.
  • Keep an up-to-date virtual and physical inventory of company physical assets.
  • Maintains inventory for the warehouse and other storage locations, updating it accurately and timely for all stockroom items;
  • Keep the related documents in an organized and easy to access manner.
  • Ensure old assets are properly repaired or disposed of, following internal workflows and procedures.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or other related Social Science courses.
  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • Relevant work experience as an asset manager or Inventory officer
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Conversant and proficient with Ms. Office and Industry related software.
  • 1 - 4 years Experience.

Requirements:

  • Effective time management and organizational skills are required;
  • Ability to analyze requests, identify needs and objectively present the necessary information
  • Relevant work experience as an asset manager or Inventory officer
  • Strong communication abilities in both oral and written form, in both technical and non-technical levels;
  • flexible and easily adapts to new situations
  • Team management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to details;
