Aero Contractors Airline is recruiting to fill the following vacant positions:

Job Title: Station Manager
Reports To: Manager, Ground Operations.
Function: Ground Operations.
Location: Kano, Nigeria.
Job Purpose
To Manage and monitor day to day performance of the station in order to ensure quality customer service, accurate and timely execution of all processes and procedures by set standards for quick turnaround and increased market share.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and develop station team to ensure outstanding and commendable customer service and quality experience for passengers.
  • Ensure that the GSA complies with revenue remittance to revenue accounts department as stipulated in the GSA agreement.
  • Coordinate guest relations, VIP handling and facilitation.
  • Ensure passenger safety, security and repatriation of lost but found items.
  • Ensure all customer relations matters / queries are effectively communicated to the Head of Ground Operations as well as the GSA Manager and promptly resolved.
  • Responsible for all flight and ground operations in the station. Must keep all station’s facilities, equipment and activities in compliance with regulatory and labour laws.
  • Monitor the sales and marketing activities of the GSA and Travel Agents against their set targets, analyze and comment on their monthly traffic / revenue performance and implement any changes required to achieve their target.
  • Manage station budget inclusive of planning and ongoing management to drive cost efficiency throughout airport operation.
  • Implement annual sales and marketing business plan as directed by the Head of Ground Operations & Head of Commercial to achieve the company objectives, increase market share and revenues.

  • Accounting reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and power point.
  • Strong customer service skill.
  • Good knowledge of legal and regulatory framework guiding the aviation industry.
Working Relationships:
  • Internal: All relevant departments
  • External: Regulatory authorities / GHA /3rd Party Contractors/ AJ Customers.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The position requires a graduate with a university or polytechnic (HND) degree and minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience with at least 2 years at a mid- mgt level. Good command of written & spoken English. Must have experience in dealing with government and regulatory bodies.
