Job Title: Additive Manufacturing Operator / Technician

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Work directly with Engineers and other Staff to Support the processing of print requests, production of printed parts, inventories of print materials, and the maintenance of associated 3D printers.
  • Ensures the successful implementation of fixtures on the production floor.
  • Assists in creating programs (such as Laser Marking programs, and CNC programs), 3D models, associated fixtures, drawings, templates, overlays, etc. Role is office-based.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Health and Safety Management Systems (QHS).
  • Designs and manages fabrication or acquisition of fixtures used in various processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics with post-graduation in Tool & Die Making / Fabrication
  • Demonstrated ability to develop experimental concepts quickly and iterate based on empirical evidence ·Experience in mechanical prototyping design and assembly: mechanically inclined, able to work with their hands to design, assemble/disassemble, modify, and operate test apparatuses
  • Good manual dexterity and practical hands-on skills, competent with the use of hand tools
  • There are physical and manual elements to the job, the ability to handle these elements is essential.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as being able to work within a team
  • An understanding of the requirement to follow procedures to maintain high standards of health and safety.
  • Experience using CAD software (Solidworks) preferred
  • Ability to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill).
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Previous experience with 3D printers and other additive manufacturing techniques, preferred but not required
