Job Summary
- Jolly Energy Fleet Limited is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated and enthusiastic Account / Bookkeeping Intern to join our finance team.
- As an Account / Bookkeeping Intern, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently supporting the organization to perform data entry tasks related to daily financial transactions.
- This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- As an Account and Bookkeeping Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations while gaining hands-on experience in the brewery industry.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial Oversight: Assist in monitoring and recording financial transactions related to retail, wholesale, and sub-distributor operations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial entries and reports. Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Inventory Management: Supervise and track inventory levels in the warehouse, including retail and wholesale stock. Ensure that inventory records are up-to-date and accurate. Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions.
- Transaction Recording: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses. Assist in reconciling discrepancies and ensuring financial integrity.
- Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports and summaries for management, including sales reports, expense reports, and inventory status updates.
- Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and proper documentation of all goods received and dispatched.
- Assist with Daily Transactions: Help track and record of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage Accounts: Support in maintaining and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate Reports: Aid in preparing financial statements and reports to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Organize Documentation: Help in filing and organizing financial documents for easy access and compliance. Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining and organizing financial documentation and records as required.
- Customer and Vendor Interaction: Support communication with customers and vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues related to billing, payments, and deliveries.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed. Assist in reconciling discrepancies between financial records and statements.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements in bookkeeping and inventory management.
Requirements
- An Ordinary National Diploma or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Power point, and familiarity with accounting software is a plus..
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members.
