Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization.
  • This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the company's budget, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Expense Management: Review and process expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll activities, including calculating employee salaries, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Financial Compliance: Stay up to date with financial regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare and file tax returns.
  • Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting audit processes.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance is a plus.

Remuneration

  • Salary: N3,000,000 - N5,000,000 annually.
