Job Title: Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Reports To: General Manager
Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Level: Mid - Management

Summary / Purpose

  • We are looking for a chartered account with a strong sense of ethics for our our client in the personal care/spa industry.
  • Ultimately, you will ensure our clients are taken care of, operations run smoothly, and employees are engaged so that they provide excellent customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare Financial Statement for Management decision.
  • Day-to-day management of the Financial and Management Accounting processes.
  • Ensure all creditors’ balances are diligently & completely recorded and accounted for daily.
  • Plan, organize and implement accounting operations and objectives, coordinate and integrate activities toward achievement of established goals and objectives.
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Report to management regarding the financial health and status of the Organization.
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Relationship Management between the company and Banks/Lenders
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related field
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
  • A high level of integrity and preparedness to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
