We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: VSAT Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full-time

Role Description & Responsibilities

• This is a full-time on-site role for a VSAT Engineer at our Port Harcourt office, with the candidate having a strong background in satellite communications, networking, and telecommunications 

The VSAT Engineer will be responsible for:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining VSAT satellite communication systems i.e. designing and implementing VSAT networks for clients
• Install and configure VSAT equipment (Antennas, BUCs, Modems, Routers, etc.)
• Ensure network uptime and performance by collaborating with clients and internal teams
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies which involve system testing and troubleshooting
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field
• 1-3 years’ experience in VSAT engineering or satellite communications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel
• Electrical knowledge, understanding of electronic principles and RF frequencies
• Knowledge of Satellite telecommunication systems, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, etc.)
