We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior AI Engineer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Abia, Adamawa and Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

• We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our fully remote team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing AI models and algorithms that drive innovation and solve complex problems within our applications.
• You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to build scalable, efficient AI solutions that enhance user experience and optimize business processes.

Key Responsibilities
AI Model Development:

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models for a variety of business use cases.
• Work with large datasets to train, fine-tune, and optimize AI models to improve their accuracy and performance.
• Implement state-of-the-art algorithms for natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, recommendation systems, or other AI-driven applications.

Data Analysis & Preprocessing:

• Preprocess and clean raw data from various sources to prepare it for AI model training.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Work with data engineering teams to ensure data pipelines are optimized for AI workloads.

Collaboration & Integration:

• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate AI models into production systems and applications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior AI engineers and data scientists, helping to elevate the team's capabilities.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand the business requirements and translate them into AI solutions.

Performance Optimization:

• Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency, ensuring they meet production standards.
• Implement model monitoring tools to track AI model performance over time and make adjustments as needed.

Research & Innovation:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning technologies.
• Conduct research to explore new AI methods and technologies that can improve existing systems or drive new initiatives.
• Contribute to the AI community through research papers, blogs, or open-source contributions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Strong proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google AI, Azure ML).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Familiarity with model deployment, versioning, and monitoring tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow).
• Extensive experience with deep learning models, such as CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, or transformers.
• Strong knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training techniques.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning, or other specialized AI fields.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools like Apache Kafka, Airflow, or Luigi.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background, with experience in linear algebra, probability, and optimization.
• Experience with model explainability and fairness techniques.
