Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) is the world’s leading independent international development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty in developing countries.
Our high-impact approach brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, promote international understanding and action to change lives and make the world a fairer place. VSO is accepting applications for the 2015 Q14 VSO-ICS Program in Nigeria. This is a three (3) months youth centered community development program that brings together young people (aged 18-25) from the UK and Nigeria. Each team will typically consist of 20 young people with equal numbers coming from the UK and Nigeria.

Job Title:  Corporate Partnerships Manager

 
Role overview
To further develop partnerships between VSO and private companies in Nigeria and manage the VSO Knowledge Exchange programme. Work as part of the VSO country team and closely with development partners to ensure partnership and programme quality and impact. Welcome and manage corporate volunteer activities in-country.

 This position is based in Lagos with periodic visits to Abuja.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
The successful candidate must have:
  • An excellent knowledge of the corporate sector as well as considerable and credible experience in developing innovative engagement strategies for working with both private and public organisations to support the strategic priorities of VSO Nigeria;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in volunteer management and maintaining a high-level of customer service to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and managing engagement strategies and programs with corporate partners;
