We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Group Finance Controller
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Job Description
- Supervise the preparation of all final accounts (P&L and Balance Sheets) for annual reports and other management information
- Periodically review Company’s general ledger system and make recommendations as appropriate
- Monitor the performance of subordinates’ areas of responsibility in attaining established business objective
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Managing Director
- Responsible for reporting (regulatory, internal and external) as well as GL Management & Accounts Monitoring.
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for the group and guide their activities to ensure the achievement of their current to medium-term strategies.
- Review statutory reports to external bodies to ensure completeness accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Review and ensure optimal utilization of human and material resource allocation within the group and make recommendations to the CFO.
- Supervise posting of all financial accounting operations and verify accuracy as appropriate
- Ensure that the company’s accounting procedures conform with stipulated internal control procedures
Qualifications
- A First Degree in any discipline. Relevant Master's Degree will be an advantage
- Relevant professional certification(s) in Accounting /Finance e.g. CFA, CIS, ACCA, ACA, CFP etc.
- Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in Finance & Performance Management within the Financial Services Industry, of which at least 6 must have been in the Insurance Sector
