Despite the hype around fintech, today $ 19 tn of payments are made across global supply chains in cash, as a result over 420m small and medium sized businesses that are the drivers of growth for Consumer Goods companies remain rooted outside of the digital financial eco system. The cost both economically and operationally is significant and remains unsolved by Banks or card providers. We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Lagos   Job Description

  • You will lead the strategy and execution of sales to the Distributors and Wholesalers in the consumer goods markets. Focussing on Food, Drinks, Tobacco, Apparel, Household goods and retail markets.
  • Involved in the end to end sales cycle for selling complex solutions at a senior management and owner level with customers across Nigeria.
Tasks
  • Define and lead the new business efforts for Nigeria with a focus on developing new relationships with customers in the distribution, wholesale, FMCG and retail markets
  • Participate in formulating sales strategy, in collaboration with local and global Sales & Marketing teams
  • Execution of sales strategies to drive adoption of RedCloud mobile-based payments technology for  Distributors, Wholesalers and Merchants/Retailers.
  • Prospecting, negotiation and closing of deals
  • Manage your own sales pipeline, working to monthly objectives and KPI’s
  • Work closely with partners to communicate new functionalities and the value proposition for our customers
  • Provide the link post-sale between customers and the RedCloud customer success team
  • Collaborate and input into regional marketing, arrange promotional programs, activities and events
Must have Requirements
  • Experience selling to Distributors and Wholesalers in the consumer goods markets (Food, Drinks, Tobacco, Apparel, Household goods) - This is a must have requirement
  • Flexible to travel extensively across Nigeria (all travel expenses paid)
Experience needed:
  • You should be keen on working within a start-up style environment understanding the unique responsibility, creativity and flexibility that is required and the immense rewards that come with it.
Preferred, but not essential experience:
  • Experience selling software, payments or ecommerce solutions to Distributors, Wholesalers, FMCG companies or retailers
  • Experience selling payments, platform solutions .
