  • We are currently seeking to hire for the position of Head, Tax Planning and Strategy who will support the Group Head, Tax Management in tax planning and in the developing of tax strategies across the Group.
Specification Our ideal candidate should be able to:
  • Monitor, analyze and execute tax planning initiatives in relation to potential tax reforms or changes in tax legislation
  • Prepare financial analysis of the tax implications of various planning proposals
  • Liaise with various subsidiaries in respect of tax issues and opportunities across countries, divisions, geographic areas, business groups, and staff functions
  • Support the Group Head of tax to integrate the Bank’s tax strategy into the business and subsidiaries and enforce the implementation and adoption of the group’s tax risk management policy
  • Perform Nigeria and global tax analysis of restructuring or integration of foreign subsidiary and domestic operations
  • Provide recommendations for tax efficient funding and use of funds based on global cash needs
  • Support the Group Head, Tax to manage the Bank’s global repatriation and dividend planning process
  • Serve as a link for business with tax on special projects involving tax input.
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law/Business/Finance/ Accounting/Tax (2.2 minimum).
  • Professional Tax Certification and/or ACA/ACCA will be an added advantage.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Skills and Competences:
  •  Comprehensive knowledge of international tax and tax modelling or planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to speak French will be an added advantage

  • We are currently seeking to hire for the position of Transfer Pricing officer whose responsibility is to support the Transfer Pricing Specialist in developing and implementing the TP practices for the Group. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for ensuring transfer pricing compliance for the Group.
Specification Our ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Periodic review of intragroup transactions to ensure that the transfer pricing policy is adhered to.
  • Maintain pricing templates relevant to the application of transfer pricing policies for intragroup transactions.
  • Reviewing accuracy of intercompany charges as required.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of relevant TP returns (e.g. annual TP disclosures and questionnaires) in all jurisdictions.
  • Manage the preparation of annual TP documentation reports (including master file and local files) across all jurisdictions including country-by-country report.
  • Ensure all required country-by-country notifications are made by relevant group companies as and when due.
  • Manage the preparation of the group’s annual country-by-country reports as well as the required notifications.
  • Continuous monitoring (and periodic review) of inter-company transactions within the group to ensure completeness in reporting for TP purposes and also to ensure proper and timely documentation of intra-group transactions.
  • Review of all inter-company agreements and transaction documents to ensure relevant TP considerations are reflected.
  • Maintain or oversee the maintenance of relevant source and transaction documents required to demonstrate compliance with the group’s policies and arm’s length principle.
  • Keep up to date with TP developments in all the jurisdictions where the group operates and communicate the impact of those developments to the group.
  • Manage transfer pricing audits for all group companies.
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law/Business/Finance/ Accounting/Tax (2.2 minimum) and professional qualification in relevant discipline.
  • An Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) will be an added advantage.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Transfer Pricing regulations; including the local documentation and filing requirements in African countries.

  • We are currently seeking to hire an ICT/Data Management Specialist who will develop and manage data that is audit ready and can be used for tax planning and strategy across the Group
Specification Our ideal candidate should be able to:
  • Support team with a variety of data analytic tasks including: data collection/retrieval from source systems (Banking software and ERP), data loading/normalization, testing for accuracy/completeness, tax analysis/modeling, and reporting/communicating results
  • Manage large data sets including data in unusual formats, transforming data into a usable form, and aggregating data as needed using a variety of tools
  • Assist in developing custom data analysis solutions (largely in Excel) to provide data for tax planning for business scenarios and provide meaningful insight
  • Prepare documentation and analytical reports for tax models that effectively summarize and present procedures, assumptions, and conclusions
  • Have the ability to work independently, cross functions, manage a project team of both internal and contract resources, interact directly with other functional resources to obtain relevant data and documents in formats consistent with project objectives and deadlines, review project deliverables, and resolve project issues
  • Have advanced Excel VBA programming experience is a plus, basic understanding of Legal Entity accounting required, tax systems experience is a plus but not required.
  • Have experience with visualizations.
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a Business related course (Minimum 2.2)
Experience:
  •  Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies:
  •  Experience in working with large data sets, SQL and /or data analytics tools

  • We are currently seeking to hire for the position of Transfer Pricing Specialist who shall be responsible for developing and implementing the Transfer Pricing practices across the Group. The Transfer Pricing Specialist shall report to the Group Head, Tax Management.
Specification Our ideal candidate should be able to:
  • Review annual TP compliance documents including: annual TP documentation reports, (i.e. the master file and local file for each entity), annual TP returns prepared for each country, and the group’s annual country-by-country reports.
  • Ensure transfer pricing documentation is up to date and meets relevant regulatory requirements in all the entities within the Group (Africa and rest of the world)
  • Ensure that transfer prices between the parties within the Group reflect the arm’s length rules as specified in the various tax legislations, and coordinate the acceptance of those rules by the subsidiaries on the basis of equity and fairness to all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Executive and Senior Management to determine TP implications of transactions under consideration.
  • Work closely with entities under TP audit and coordinate responses and submissions to tax authorities and other key stake holders.
  • Provide training to tax staff and key employees across the Group on transfer pricing matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities across the jurisdictions where the group operates.
  • Develop procedures for the effective implementation of the Group TP policy and monitor compliance (by group companies) with laid down TP policies.
  • Develop pricing templates relevant to the application of transfer pricing policies for intragroup transactions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the transfer pricing regulations; including the local documentation and filing requirements in most African countries.
  • Develop TP compliance processes, procedures and checklists as required for ongoing monitoring and execution of the group’s TP policies, as well as discharge of group’s TP compliance obligations.
  • Periodically assess the transfer pricing risks for entities across the Group and articulate recommendations to address those risks.
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law/Business/Finance/ Accounting/Tax (2.2 minimum) and professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • An Advanced Diploma in International Taxation will be an added advantage.
Experience:
