Job Title: Fleet Administrator
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Will be responsible of maximizing efficiency and profitability by managing the vehicles used by the company and the drivers who operate them.
- Responsibilities as a fleet Administrator include all fleet logistics and monitoring all aspects of costs and profits, from vehicle wear to fuel costs.
- Be assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet, maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency, among other duties.
- Be responsible for cost reduction. The primary objective of every business is to reduce costs with real-time data on fuel consumption, scheduled maintenance reports, non-scheduled repairs, driver downtime and others, fleet management software helps manage business costs
- Need to ensure that vehicles provided by the service provider are roadworthy, compliant to all safety standards and in a good condition.
- Be responsible for impeccable record keeping. You need to register and license all vehicles, and keep inspections up to date. They keep records to prove that the fleet company is in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Need to schedule maintenance to ensure the fleet function seamlessly and meet profit goals, vehicles must be maintained in peak operating condition. You need to set up maintenance schedules to ensure each vehicle is kept in top condition in efforts to side-step unexpected repairs and minimize costs by maximizing fuel efficiency.
- Be responsible for the managing of the vehicles of all three locations in terms of scheduled services, repairs, ensuring that vehicles are road worthy, all licenses are up to date, and all drivers have got valid driver's licenses.
- Need to ensure that all vehicles complete the daily vehicle checks and adhere to the safety requirements.
- Need to conduct frequent inspections on vehicles to be up to date with the status of the vehicle fleet.
- Need to work in close cooperation with the vehicle clerk and Ops clerk to ensure the fuel are reconciled and checked on a weekly basis.
- Be in control of all fuel cards and ensure they are not misused.
- Liaise with the fuel provider on a daily basis and also during fuel scarcities.
Requirements
Desirable:
- Must possess a degree in any discipline.
- Possess substantial years of experience in similar role within a multinational organization
- Computer literate and proficient in Windows based applications, specifically MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook).
- Report writing skill
- Good communication skill (Both written and verbal)
- Attention to details
- Have high level of people-skills to interact with clients by phone or person to person.
Remuneration
Monthly Gross Salary is between NGN 120,000 and NGN 140,000.
