Job Title: SQL Database Administrator
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We are currently recruiting for a SQL Database Administrator for our office in Lagos.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance of critical SQL Server databases, implementation, configuration and maintenance.
- He/she will ensure the availability and consistent performance of corporate applications (both internal and external applications).
Major Responsibilities
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator (Industry experience is preferred)
- 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality
- Ability to organize and plan work independently
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
- MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
- B.Sc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 per month.
Job Title: Data Scientist
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve a company. He/she is expected to build data products to extract valuable business insights.
Major Responsibilities
- Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis
- Building models to address business problems
- Presenting information using data visualization techniques
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
- Combine models through ensemble modeling
- Present information using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist.
- Experience in data mining
- Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
- Analytical mind and business acumen
- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- B.Sc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred

N200,000 - N300,000 per month
Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We are currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Developer for our office in Lagos.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge.
Major Responsibilities
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Develop and update technical documentation
- Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions
- Crafting and executing queries upon request for data
- Presenting information through reports and visualization
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. Power BI, SQL reporting Services)
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power BI)
- Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
Requirements
- Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI,)
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- B.Sc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Proven experience as a BI Developer
- Industry experience is preferred
- Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 per month.
