They are also into commercial printing as well as Brand Marketing Research for the purpose of identifying new opportunities for business values. We are recruiting to fill the positions below:
   
  Job Title: Finance Manager Location: Abuja Job Type: Full Time
Description
  • The candidate will work under the supervision of the ED (Finance)
  • He / She will ensure that the financial health of the company is enhanced and that a documented system of accounting policies and procedures is maintained in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities Corporate Planning & Systems:
  • Would be involved in the formulation of various systems, policies, procedures, that are commensurate with the needs of the company,
  • Would be involved in Financial projections of collaborations/joint ventures envisaged.
  • Would be involved in corporate planning during organizational restructuring at all levels.
Finance:
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost & Credit Control, Margin Analysis, Costing & Profitability Analysis and Management Reporting.
  • Preparation and submission of applications to Financial Institutions for financial assistance in form of Term Loans, Short Term Deposits and timely follow up for necessary sanctions, documentations and disbursements.
Accounts & Audit:
  • Finalization of accounts, divisional & branch accounting.
  • Attending to statutory auditors, internal auditors
  • Tax audit details preparation
Computerized Accounting:
  • Debtors’ management and credit control.
  • Accounting Standards and their implementation.
Taxation:
  • Oversee Personal taxation – employees.
  • Oversee Filing of returns and attending to tax authorities for assessments and appeals.
Budgeting & Costing:
  • Costing - product and process.
  • Budget preparation and Budgetary controls.
Qualification and Experience
  • Minimum of a Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with ICAN or ACCA certification
  • Gender: Male or Female (Preferable).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analysis to management of Media Trust.
  • Candidate should have an outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

Job Title: Chief Information Technology Officer Location: Abuja Job Type: Full Time
Description
  • The candidate will Head, and adequately supervise the Information Technology Department of Media Trust Limited.
  • She / He shall be responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks in such a way that the role contributes positively to and impacts on the company's digital growth
  • The candidate shall ensure that hardware and software maintenance are carried out, and must have the ability to make recommendations about future planning and development of resources
  • Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure maximum implementation of technology services and resources at Media Trust Limited.
Duties and Responsibilities Networking:
  • Planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure.
  • Implements network security for the Company
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, and directs supporting staff.
  • Oversees the administration of the company’s WAN.
Internal Systems:
  • Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
  • Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
Asset Management:
  • Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
  • Works seamlessly with the Purchasing Department for acquisition of all software, hardware and other IT supplies.
  • Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
Software Developing:
  • Work with other departments in the company to facilitate timely execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating with the business users/business analyst/developers as required
  • Ensure increased customer satisfaction, code reliability and developer productivity across software products while reducing development and maintenance cost
  • Engage with business heads to assist the various departments with achieving their goals through innovative application of technology.
  • Develop IT strategies in partnership with business units.
Management:
  • Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.
  • Serves as main point of contact on all IT-related matters for the company.
  • Identifies and provides standards for gathering information for use in trend analysis and reports information to company management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of a Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or in the Physical Sciences but with experience in software and hardware maintenance;
  • Minimum of 10+ years practical experience in software and hardware maintenance with proven success in the newspaper industry
  • Gender: Male or Female (Preferable).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Must have knowledge of Computer hardware, software systems programming, computer networking, network administration, network installation, computer troubleshooting, Computer viruses and security, e-mail and internet programs.
  • Must have an understanding of the Nigerian IT environment and its implications on the group's business.
