Job Title: Underwriting Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Underwriting of Fire and Special Peril Policies.
• Underwriting of General Accident Policies.
• Underwriting and posting of Composite Policies.
• Underwriting and Posting of Engineering Policies.
• Confirm premium computations are in line with standard rating.
• Computation of renewal, additional and return premium.
• Entry of data into the software provided (IES) to generate debit notes and reports.
• Perform any other assignment delegated by the Superior Officers.
• Issuance of Composite Policies with Numerous certificates.
• Renewal of Composite Policies.
• Co-ordinates all the activities of Insurance Brokers.
• Collates regular data on renewal of complex policies.
• Ensures compliance with set standards for underwriting branch mails on IES Software.
• Ensures compliance with set standards by our Regulators NAICOM.
• Quotation and Computation of Premium.
• Issuance of Policy for New Businesses and issuance of Endorsements.
• Other technical jobs that will be assigned to the person.
• Provide quotations for new and renewal businesses.
• Preparation of Policy Documents for different lines of business.
• Renewal of policies and issuance of debit/credit notes.
• Support marketers in their day to day activities.
• Ascertain compliance with set standards of underwriting.
