TSHIP (Targeted States High Impact Projects) is a five-year program focused on the improvement of Health Systems and the Management of Health Systems for higher quality Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, Family Planning, and Reproductive Health service delivery in Nigeria.
TSHIP is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a group of foreign and local non-governmental organizations consisting of John Snow Research & Training institute, Inc. (JSI), Center for Development & Population Activities (CEDPA), Futures Group International LLC, JHPIEGO, and Management Strategies for Africa (MSA).

The Targeted States High Impact Project (TSHIP) Nigeria is recruiting to fill following vacant positions:


Job Title:  Knowledge Management & Communications Specialist
Roles and responsibilities
    Work closely with the chief of party and senior leadership team to determine TSHIP’s ongoing knowledge management and communications priorities.
    Review existing information and knowledge;
    Manage consultants to implement the strategy from a variety of fields such as web design, data base development, media design, multi-media, technology, and publications;
    Organize, produce, package, and disseminate information and products (print, video, and electronic);
    Integrate information dissemination, networking, and outreach activities into the knowledge sharing effort.
    Develop and implement new initiatives that leverage current publishing and information technologies and establish and maintain communications networks and distribution channels;
    Review, update, and execute TSHIP’s knowledge management and communication strategy (including developing a work plan for the design, development, and roll out of activities and products)., Monitor and evaluate knowledge sharing activities;
    Coordinate with key program personnel and USAID to define goals, targets and program needs (both internal and external) of the knowledge management and communications strategy;

Qualification
    A Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Eight to ten years experience in knowledge management and communications, including experience in international settings and/or developing countries;
    Experience in developing materials for a variety of specific audiences and creating a wide range of products;
    Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communications skills;
    Ability to manage the publication process;
    Knowledge of international maternal and child health issues;
    Prior work history with USAID projects.
    Skills in web-based electronic publishing, knowledge networks and new models for sharing information;
    Designing knowledge management and/or communications strategies; organizing, packaging, producing and disseminating information (print, video and on-line);
    Excellent writing, editing skills;
