Prime Atlantic Limited is a wholly owned Nigerian Company dedicated to effecting development in the Nigerian Oil and gas industry. It was established in 2005 and successfully partnered with Cegelec, France to establish a joint venture company, Prime Atlantic Cegelec Nigeria (PACE) in 2005.

Job Title: Training Coordinator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Description

  • The Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, competence development to support the growth and development of national talent in the oil and gas sector, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • The successful candidate will also evaluate training effectiveness and course content to continuously improve program quality and will play a key role in the skill development and assurance program of the operational teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify skills gaps through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with stream leads
  • Interface with the Skills Designer Competence Management System, to monitor progress and ensure that evidence submitted is valid, authentic, reliable, and sufficient.
  • Drawing up and managing a strategic Training Budget
  • Verify that all training expenditures are kept within the established yearly budget.
  • Liaise with Training SMEs to design, assess and revise training programs based on organizational and individual needs to meet customer requirements. Organize training schedules and logistics for onshore and offshore training operations.
  • Coordinate training assessments and evaluations to support national talent progression in liaison with maintenance trainers & and project staff.
  • Prepare and package training proposals that meet Clients' specifications after administering a Training Needs Analysis
  • Guarantee that all training taking place complies with company QHSSE standards.
  • Ensure that assessments and verifications are taking place according to International Standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Education, or a related field
  • Certification in training design and development or related field is a plus
  • Knowledge of industry safety and operational standards, overall oil and gas process.
  • Exposure to International Training Standards and Assessment/Verification Guidelines.
  • Assessor or Verifier Qualification is a plus
  • Experience with Auditing is a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in a training role, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing training programs
  • Strong understanding of learning management systems and e-learning platforms
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with team members to meet project deadlines
  • Experience working in a multicultural work environment
