Egbin Power Plc. Lagos is one of the biggest additions to the electricity industry in Nigeria. Often seen as the biggest single generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was built to meet the every rising demand for electricity in Lagos and its environs.

Following the nation’s privatization exercise, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group and sundry affiliations, acquired the 1320 MW installed capacity Egbin Power Plant. We are working towards deploying a minimum of 5,000 MW of electricity generation over the next five years.

Job Summary

  • The Team Lead Technical Data Management will manage all maintenance and related data to ensure proper preparation, communication, storage, retrieval and action at any required time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation of maintenance guidelines and strategy documentation.
  • Manage the departmental database.
  • CMMS management in liaison with ICT (TM/PM/Procurement/Stores Inventory) to ensure the correctness of data inputs and outputs.
  • Manage designated projects.
  • Drive a desired maintenance culture regarding document management in line with company standards, and use of the CMMS.
  • Develop and review maintenance processes, policies and plans.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environment, energy conservation, efficiency and regulatory laws to enhance the life of machines.
  • Conduct performance reviews of subordinates.
  • Develop and update the necessary database registers and documents for assets, inventory, procedures and reporting templates.
  • Work order backlog management.
  • Ensures proper management of all maintenance data in conjunction with the relevant department.
  • Review and action periodic spare-requiring work orders status reports.
  • Development and update of records and registers for maintenance activities, power assets and inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Maintenance Planning or the Unit Head, Technical Data, Spares and Vendor Services Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering.
  • A postgraduate degree or relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in maintenance of power plant operations, at least two of which must be in a supervisory role.
